I brought my bike in for a tune-up last year and a number of details were missed including putting the grips on the wrong sides, not placing the valve cap back on, and forgetting to put the seat back up (the last one a fix that I noticed immediately since having the bike returned and they adjusted it on the spot). But then I noticed my brakes were very noisy (i.e. headturning squawking, near honking), but wasn't able to bring the bike back in until the spring.
I've experienced a few employees being defensive about issues with my bike, rather than gracious. I am not asserting blame, just need to have my bike fixed. When I e-mailed for an appointment this spring, the employee immediately told me that squeaking is normal and that it might not be able to be fixed. I understand them trying to manage expectations, but I felt they weren't listening. I've been riding a bike since I was a kid, and have been riding in the city for almost 20 years and on different bikes, etc., so I have a good sense of when something isn't working.
The brakes were fixed after I brought it in again, but then the mechanic left dirt all over the grips. I left a comment with the person at the cash, and asked if the mechanics could please pay more attention to detail. I understand it's COVID, spring, etc. but is there a way they can follow a checklist so as to return the bike in the form than it was received (hopefully better)?
I say all this because I know there are others out there who notice details like me, but don't say anything. And while I would like to return to the shop, I feel the attitude (I am also a woman of colour) is too much to bear for me, especially in a time like this.
Easy to order and pick up.
Easy, safe, efficient pick up of online order.
Very efficient and informative. Great experience.
Great customer service
Very fast processing and delivery of the item
I bought a Bontager R3 tire online at 12pm on Sunday. I needed to so I was able to locate one at Trek on Queen. I’m from Stouffville so I decided to head down to get the tire from Trek, and then email Sweet Pete’s when I’m down there to see if it was possible to pick up the tire from their shop. After walking to get a coffee to kill some time, I email the store and was replied to in 15 mins. The person said that the tire would be available closer to closing time, which was 3 hours from now. However, 10 mins later I got the email to come and pick up my order. I was very pleased I didn’t need to make a second trip downtown to pick up the tire on another day. I appreciated the quick email, and the quick availability of my order after I purchased it a couple of hours prior.
Very good variety
Everything. Sweet Petes are the best
Great service.
I like the service as a whole. I've always felt welcome there; regardless of my experience, budget, or brand of my bike. I used to live in the neighbourhood and still come here a decade later because I'd rather support this shop than tolerate the elitism of the shops nearby. I've been replacing things lately and I appreciate the selection on line, it was easy to order and pick up. On the whole it was an easy process and I'm looking forward to breaking more things so I can come back sooner.

Good tune up. Quickly turned around.
Quick responses. Friendly and understanding
improve return policy
no call prior to any repairs that were made. Never told of what repairs were to be done. Picked up bike and i asked ....they said several things, your bike needed a lot of repairs, but nothing said to me.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Appreciate the prompt, clear and polite response to emails regarding order status.
Canada Post is always such a slow courier to use these days with others available that have a comparable price. I think the option to use other couriers such as Purolator, UPS etc would certainly see me buying more.
Excellent stock and quick shipping despite the pandemic!
Service was great. Tons of email support, and lots if personable people to deal with (Brent is awesome). Only issue I had was after returning a phone call for my wife's bike to Ian, and giving him a message to return to the service department about brakes, the message must have gotten lost. Perhaps he got sidetracked: Brent was quick to let me know that if we wanted to change the brakes, we could do it at a later date. Regardless, I had a great experience.
The repair and tune-up service was quick and efficient and the customer service was excellent.
Friendly, helpful staff and competitive prices.
