I live on E. Spring St. and I have driven past JAX Bicycle shop many times. For some reason, I didn't know that the shop was open. From the outside of the building facing N. Bellflower, the shop appears to be closed or abandoned with no signage or open windows. I was looking for a bike shop closer to my home--Tri Zone closed down 3 years ago--and Yelp had directed me to bike shops in Lakewood and beyond. I had a flat tire and I wanted to have it repaired on the same day. The mechanic quickly diagnosed that my tire wasn't flattened because of an exterior particle like glass; but, it was flattened because of an ill fitting rim inside the wheel. He changed out the rim in each tire--in less than an hour--and I purchased a "flat tire" plan from JAX. The workers there are knowledgeable, professional, and friendly and they know a lot about bikes. I wish that I had known that JAX was opened because I have been traveling to bike shops outside my area for repair.
My bike, with new rims and inner tubes, now runs great. Its great to know that there is a great bike shop that is close to my home: JAX.

The store helped me gratefully to claim the guarantee of my Bike rack and they did everything possible to put me on the road again with my bike. Now I can go anywhere with my bike on the NEW platform bike rack. This new version is extremely stable on the Freeways.

Jeff and the team at Jax were extremely helpful, knowledgable, and kind. I am completely new to this with the goal of getting into triathlons (long-time runner and swimmer, but have avoided the bike . . .). They were all understanding and didn't make me feel badly about walking in and saying, 'I've got a triathlon in a month - help.' Highly recommended.

All are knowledgeable and friendly and take the time to explain various products and services and the pros and cons of each, depending on what I am looking for or wanting to do. The service manager (Jesse i think) was very helpful and made some free adjustments on my son's bike while we purchase an allan key wrench. I told my son to give them his future business. Jesse also recommended a tune up but wasn't pushy. Great guy.
