Vinyasa and hatha yoga
I am in my mid-70’s. I mostly just use the pool, though my wife uses machines, zumba classes and has done yoga there.
The pool is close to home. I don’t like waiting for a lane, who does? I mostly come at times when younger people work and some of the regulars are people that I know. I often use the steam room after swimming and sometimes the whirlpool, if it isn’t too full.
Under the new rules brought on by the virus situation, I like having a lane reserved just for myself or for me and my wife. Problem has been with online communications. When confirming a time it would be nice if a confirmation immediately showed the time reserved. Wife was looking to confirm a time and then confused them and I drove to the “Y” and found I needed to return some hours later. Also when confirming, it would be nice if a message immediately showed if this is a standby reservation or the lane reservation was made. Some of us older folks are technology challenged.
You care about me
Everything is well run. I also love the diversity of the Y--people of all colors, all abilities, and all ages use the facilities. It does indeed feel like a family.

Pools and cycling classes and yogalates.
The facility is very clean and that gives me a great deal of confidence in the COVID-19 environment. Making reservations for the pool is easy.
Most of all, though, I love the sense of community that the Y inspires. It is a culture and I am grateful for it. More than any other entity, the Y helps me feel like we'll get through this if we do it as a community.
Thank you.
Good price ($76/mo for couples); large selection of equipment and facilities; friendly and helpful staff.

I’m a senior who likes Zumba Gold. I hope you will bring it back when it’s safe to do so. In the meantime, I’ll use the treadmill when it’s not too crowded.
Access to Town Lake Trail.
Good equipment, facilities.
Very friendly, helpful staff.
Variety
The senior fitness classes lead by Renee Deeter are fabulous.
I appreciate the caution being used in opening the facilities back up. I would appreciate it, though, if the Y would respond to requests for help and questions about the sign up program. I have emailed several times to the email address they provided for questions, and no one has responded.
Outstanding staff and Leadership at the town lake YMCA.
