Special care to keep us safe
Good exercise in a supportive atmosphere so all can fit in. I love the women’s swim. I like the individual lanes during Covid. Typically I enjoy the 6 am classes.
I like that you are open and that I feel safe exercising there!
The variety of programs. I'm glad that the Y has reopened since the coronavirus closing.
Group exercise classes. specifically Group power
Right now, Covid is making everything a hassle.
The way you are handling swimming during the pandemic - sign-ups 2 days before, temperature checks, masks when entering and leaving, no lane sharing - is awesome. Thank you for this.
Lap swim as long as there are available lanes. I like the reservation system.
The Town Lake Y could not be more supportive of people from all walks of life--or more successful in building an inclusive, loving community within itself. It is a wonderful, wonderful place.
Friendly staff
inclusive. affordable. considerate.
I mostly use the weight room and cardio equipment but I know you offer a lot of classes and other programs, and you support the broader community as well. I think you all worked very hard to stay positive during the Coronavirus shutdown and to keep members engaged during a tough time. Your reopening procedures are sensible and not overly-restrictive and I appreciate that. I even got a personal phone call from one of the staff there giving me details about the reopening. That’s good customer service...
I like the spirit of the place and the views out of the window toward the lake. It is a very welcoming facility.
We enjoy the dedicated swim times. You guys have been doing a great job!
Caring staff and great facility!
I like the friendly staff and clean, open spaces.

Vinyasa and hatha yoga
I am in my mid-70’s. I mostly just use the pool, though my wife uses machines, zumba classes and has done yoga there.
The pool is close to home. I don’t like waiting for a lane, who does? I mostly come at times when younger people work and some of the regulars are people that I know. I often use the steam room after swimming and sometimes the whirlpool, if it isn’t too full.
Under the new rules brought on by the virus situation, I like having a lane reserved just for myself or for me and my wife. Problem has been with online communications. When confirming a time it would be nice if a confirmation immediately showed the time reserved. Wife was looking to confirm a time and then confused them and I drove to the “Y” and found I needed to return some hours later. Also when confirming, it would be nice if a message immediately showed if this is a standby reservation or the lane reservation was made. Some of us older folks are technology challenged.
You care about me
Everything is well run. I also love the diversity of the Y--people of all colors, all abilities, and all ages use the facilities. It does indeed feel like a family.
Townlake YMCA truly cares for its members.
Great customer service. Very clean facility.
i love the group exercise classes! it’s so easy to feel included and welcome here. everyone is always incredibly nice. i love it here!
The senior fitness virtual classes happening now. Also liked working on the bike &
rowing machine this week in the building. Everything was very sanitary & clean.
Excellent equipment. Fantastic staff - everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable. Tis a special place indeed!
I like that there are many different classes to choose from, as well as a lot of different times available for the classes.
Pools and cycling classes and yogalates.
The facility is very clean and that gives me a great deal of confidence in the COVID-19 environment. Making reservations for the pool is easy.
Most of all, though, I love the sense of community that the Y inspires. It is a culture and I am grateful for it. More than any other entity, the Y helps me feel like we'll get through this if we do it as a community.
Thank you.

I like the options of group classes, although I have still not been to one yet. ONE DAY! I very much appreciate the sliding scale membership, as well.
