My Life changed when my grandparents began needing more assistance with their day-to-day living, and it changed even more after my grandmother passed away and I became the primary caregiver for my grandfather at just 24 years old. At times, I felt overwhelmed trying to balance my job, caring for my grandfather, and maintaining any sort of personal life outside of those responsibilities.
After being referred to several different resources, I eventually found Senior Helpers, and it brought an incredible sense of relief. Knowing that my grandfather is in caring, compassionate, and capable hands has made such a difference for both of us.
Senior Helpers has given me back pieces of my life that I honestly thought I had lost. Loving my grandparents so deeply made me feel like I always had to be there, but now I know my grandfather is well cared for even when I need to work, run errands, or simply take time to recharge. I no longer have to constantly worry about him being alone, and I'm able to balance caring for him with the rest of my life much more easily.
