All staff is great and the process for touring and setting everything up was nice. Reasonably priced for quality care.
Overall the team is great and very caring for the children. I wish certain teachers in the nonmobile classroom were a bit more gentle with the babies, as they have been observed being a bit rough on camera. I also would encourage them to tell teachers to decorate their classrooms after hours and not when they are supposed to be watching/playing with the children. It would be great for the daycare to consider allowing certain discounts to be stacked to make the program more affordable.
I gave a score of 0 because our experience at this location has fallen well short of what I'd expect from your brand.
We've had multiple safety and communication incidents that were handled poorly, with inconsistent follow-through and accountability from leadership. On top of that, teacher turnover has been significant, the quality of incoming staff has steadily declined, and I don't see evidence of any real curriculum in the classrooms. My kids don’t even come home with artwork or anything showing structured activities at a very simple level.
Taken together, this location isn't delivering on the basics I'd expect, let alone what your brand promises. I think corporate should have real visibility into how this location is operating day to day. Happy to provide more detail if it would help.
My son started in the infant classroom and now is moved up to the mobile classroom. At first I was so nervous about having my baby away from me while I am in school, however, Lightbridge staff has completely eased my anxiety. My son is well taken care of and now when I pick him up he is running around playing lol. They take great care of him and I highly recommend to everyone. :)
Great teachers, a clean facility, and great administration. They really care about the kids, and it's like an extended family..

I like the sense of community, communication, and professionalism. The staff seems happy and well trained and educated. Most importantly, my son is happy there and values the things he learns and the relationships he’s built, including those with his teachers.
However, daycare cost is a real problem. I go into debt every month just to put my son in daycare. This isn’t a Lightbridge exclusive problem. I just feel the need to say something. The cost of childcare isn’t affordable for the typical working class family.
The teachers and staff genuinely care about the kids. They become like family, so supportive and so helpful!
Personally I love that my kids feel safe and happy around the staff. Also how much they care about them.
Ms Marla, Ms D, & Ms Katie were able to help Archie transition so well into our first daycare experience. Very grateful for all of them! We appreciate the long windows for drop off & pickup, that we are able to check in via the camera app, & that Archie gets to work on skill building with your team. He has grown & learned so much.
Both of my kids had a great experience at Lightbridge in Bergenfield! It’s such a great feeling knowing that your children are in a place where they are genuinely cared for and treated like family. We are so grateful for all the wonderful memories, experiences, and relationships we’ve made at Lightbridge Academy. I would absolutely recommend them to other families looking for a loving and nurturing daycare! ❤️
If a child is moved from one room to another, parents should be granted access to the cameras in that new room. Additionally, the current camera placement needs to be reviewed, as there are several blind spots that compromise visibility.
I appreciate the timely updates regarding Owen, including when his diaper is changed, when he is napping and when he is eating. Molly and Leah always make me feel like Owen is the only child at daycare, even though they are handling many infants at once. I also love seeing the photos of Owen every day. For myself and my husband, the flexibility of not needing to pick Owen up at an exact time every day is great. We also love the proximity of Lightbridge Academy to our home.
I love the staff
We have been very happy at Lightbridge, and our child is very happy as well. We really enjoy and appreciate most of the staff. One area that I think could be improved is the experience with some newer staff members. At times, newer teachers haven’t introduced themselves or engaged much when I’m picking up or dropping off, which can make it difficult to build a sense of connection and comfort with the people caring for my child throughout the day. I completely understand that staffing can be challenging, but I think a stronger emphasis on welcoming families and helping new staff build relationships with parents could make a positive difference in the overall experience :)
I like the friendliness of the staff at Lightbridge. They are always greeting my child and acknowledging them. I can tell my child enjoys being at the daycare. I love that they do a variety of activities with my child as well. I really appreciate the consistency of updates I receive on the app. Sometimes I do wish I got more photos, but understand staff can get busy. I would recommend Lightbridge and have to my friends!
Love lightbridge academy in Paramus, for the way they care for the children and the academics they teach them. I have two daughters who have been here, one graduated and the second one is graduating in 2027.
Too expensive & always have an activity that need money . Need to have better effective communication
We have been so incredibly pleased with our experience at this school. As first-time parents, finding a place where we truly felt comfortable leaving our baby was so important to us, and the communication, attention, and care they provide have given us so much peace of mind.
We love receiving updates throughout the day and seeing all of the thoughtful activities they do with the children—even with the little ones under one! It means so much to know that he isn’t just being cared for, but is also being engaged, learning, and having fun.
They have also been such a great partner in helping our little one learn new skills, especially when it comes to eating and introducing water and cups. Having those extra opportunities to practice at school takes so much pressure off of me, and I really appreciate the feedback they give us so we know what we can continue working on at home.
Most importantly, it is very clear how much they genuinely care about our baby. He is incredibly comfortable and happy there, which says everything to us. We truly couldn’t ask for more and are so grateful to have a school that makes us feel confident and at ease knowing he is so well cared for.
I think the lunch menu and time can be improved. Not sure, if they are getting enough time to eat. I would also like to see a bit more variety in the food choice some of the meals I know my kid won't touch.
Friendly and caring staff, the facility is clean and inviting. I enjoy getting updates about events and theme weeks. The curriculum is very well rounded and I notice a huge growth in my child each year.
The center was amazing to start with but has gone down hill since being acquired by franchisee’s. It seems like the franchisee’s are prioritizing profit and new enrollments over the wellbeing of the children currently in care
So skilled, compassionate, involved, and knowledgeable! Would recommend to anyone!
Highly recommend the school, always professional and caring.teachers were nice and caring. Ms. Jailene was a phenomenal teacher. She always made us feel welcome and happy when walking in . My child loved her! She was always high energy and a bright light walking into the room always made us feel very comfortable!
The attention given to children and communication with parents is wonderful.

I trust the people at Lightbridge Academy with my two toddlers daily and I leave knowing they’re not only gaining skills and knowledge but being cared for and loved on by very sweet people.
I’ve noticed some turnover among staff and understand the classroom space will get significantly tighter since two rooms were reallocated to Cherry Hilly only Pre-K — I’d love to see retention and space prioritized so the kids can keep the consistency they thrive on.
Communication is not consistent.
Adequate supervision is a major issue in classrooms.
Daily pictures and classroom updates are infrequent at best.
Other highly-rated schools in the area include lunch as part of their (cheaper) tuition.
Myles is our first and only child through a miracle adoption, we had only left him with grandma until we enrolled at Lightbridge at 1 year old. We trust Lightbridge with him in every aspect of his care. We love that the owner is on site, Amber is a wonderfully experienced director with energy and zest for her students and employees, & and a staff who knows every child by name and greets them in the mornings and when leaving in the evenings. The pictures we are sent through the day, messages from his very attentive teachers, and the live cameras to check in on him ease our minds and hearts when we can’t be there and have to work. Ms. Marianna is wonderful with this class and has really gotten him on a schedule and he is thrilled to go to school every day runs out to the car and is smiling the whole time.
We came to the LightBridge Huntersville family when our daughter turned 2.5yrs old. As she is our one and only, naturally we were hesitant about the care our daughter would receive (and at such a young age).
LightBridge was out of this world amazing! The facility is/was always pristine. The app & technology were stellar, in fact we didn't feel the need to utilize the live stream cameras as we were always in the know. The staff made you feel welcome in every day coming and goings. The teachers were (are) the very best. Words cannot describe my gratitude for this daycare. It absolutely had a positive and integral role in allowing our daughter to become the smart, independent and funny person she is today!
