We love Lightbridge in Fanwood! Our son’s teachers, Ms. Ivette, Ms. Lydie and Ms. Andrea are the best. He is always excited to go to school and has the best time while he’s there. He has learned so much. The school communicates with families very well and we never feel out of the loop! 10/10!
Absolutely everything. From the teachers to the enrichment programs, administrators and cleanliness. This place is top notch in every aspect.
We’ve had a really positive experience with this daycare. They offer long hours, which have been a lifesaver for our schedule. The teachers are very kind, patient, and genuinely care about the kids. I also love that they have live camera access so I can check in during the day—it gives me a lot of peace of mind. Overall, it feels like a safe and nurturing environment.
The thing I love most is that my daughter loves Lightbridge! I also have peace of mind leaving her there and feel that she is in great hands. The teachers are all great and welcoming and do so many different activities with the kids. My daughter has learned so much already from them!
Great communication and staff!
We’ve had such a positive experience with Lightbridge Academy. The staff are always professional yet approachable, which makes it easy to feel comfortable leaving our children in their care. Their curriculum is thoughtfully designed, even for infants, to make sure every child is meeting (and often exceeding) important developmental milestones.
What we appreciate most is how communicative and collaborative they are with families; they truly work as a team with us to support our kids. On top of that, our children come home having learned things we never would have thought to teach them ourselves. It’s clear they are growing in a nurturing, engaging environment, and we’re so grateful to have found this place.
We love the daycare. Id just ask to be more mindful of age appropriate snacks. Certain snacks are choking hazards
The program is very knowledgeable & informative my daughter is learning new things everyday. The teachers & staff are very kind.
Great teachers and very accommodating!
All the lead teachers/assistance teachers are great with the kids. Our daughter has learned so much from Lightbridge. We would highly recommend.
There are so many things we love about Lightbridge Academy. Here are just a few...
The curriculum; knowing that our son is learning something new everyday keeps his mind active and curious. I love the way this is done each week by reinforcing with words, colors, emotions, tactile activities, movement and art.
We teach politeness at home with our words, but the first time he used sign language to say, "please" and "thank you" almost brought me to tears. He learned this from his caring teachers at Lightbridge.
The fact that when I pull into the parking lot in the morning, our son shouts, "Hooray!" really says it all! He thrives at Lightbridge. He loves his teachers, classroom, playground and friends.
We are so grateful for the peace of mind that comes from knowing he is so well cared for.
Our daughter has been attending Lightbridge Academy of Westwood for almost two years, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From day one, the staff has been incredibly warm, attentive, and professional. It’s clear they genuinely care about each child and take the time to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment. We’re so grateful to have found a place where our daughter feels happy, supported, and excited to go every day. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a reliable and caring daycare in the area!
I love that the teachers are so caring and attentive, creating a safe and nurturing environment where my son feels excited to come every day. The program has a great balance of learning and play, and I’ve seen wonderful growth in his confidence, social skills, and independence. I also appreciate the clear communication with parents, which makes me feel involved and reassured.
The teachers, staff, and administration at Lightbridge have been nothing short of exceptional throughout our son's time there. Their genuine care and affection for him, and for every child, is evident in everything they do. They've created a true community of nurturing caregivers and dedicated educators, and our family feels so fortunate to be part of it!
LBA goes above and beyond to make each day joyful for the children and engaging for the parents. There's themed days and weeks and parent appreciation events, food trucks, thoughtful celebrations, that consistently foster a vibrant and inclusive environment.
One of the highlights of my day is dropping off my son and interacting with his teachers and the administrative team. Their transparency, flexibility during transitions, and unwavering commitment to the program make us feel supported and informed every step of the way.
We absolutely love Lightbridge and are so grateful for the way they've embraced our family and cared for our little boy. It’s truly a place where staff, children, and parents become family and I’m proud to call them not just educators, but friends.
The center has been doing a great job of keeping the rooms staffed and communicating changes. We love the infant teachers
We have had all three of our kids go through Lightbridge in Westwood and we cannot recommend them more! From the front office staff to the daily teachers in the classrooms, they all care so much. Even more importantly, they listen to parents and caregivers. The facilities really are great; two playgrounds, indoor gym, extracurricular options and, cameras so you can always keep up on what your littles are doing. They are a wonderful place for your kids.
Classes/teachers need more in-class support to manage behaviors, make sure the kids are being taken care of properly and to ensure that a standard of practices are being met. I have expressed multiple concerns to teachers and administrative staff. They listen respectfully and I believe they are continuing to try to make improvements, it’s just stressful that the concerns arise to begin with.
I am not disappointed. I am happy with my experience with the facility and the staff, but the staff is always leaving. Having a full, happy staff would enhance the experience for the kids and help them have more consistency with the relationships they're building with their teachers.
I love how the whole school follows a weekly curriculum theme- even my daughter in the infant room! Both of my kids are extremely happy and my toddler gets so excited to see his friends everyday. All of the teachers we’ve had have been so happy and welcoming. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of childcare.
Lightbridge Academy has felt like such a home for us! We have been here since day 1, moving from one kiddo enrolled, to two, and now will add another little one next year!
Every teacher we have ever had my kids still talk about! The admin team is so sweet and knowledgeable and always there when I need them! It isn't just a place of childcare, but a place of love and family!
If curriculum is what you are looking for: My son graduated this past year and just started Kindergarten! At his first parent teacher conference, they raved about how he hit level in all areas, first grade level in other areas like fractions which he said he learned at Lightbridge! His handwriting and literacy is going well at homework times and I truly thank LBA for preparing him for all of that!
If emotional development is what you are looking for: God blessed LBA with patient teachers who were there for my son with big feelings and helping foster them! They are currently there for my spicy daughter who is 2 and they are helping her learn to use words vs. actions and patiently helping her become more emotionally stable!
It's hard to give your kids to someone else for childcare, but we are thankful for Lightbridge for being a place we feel comfortable doing that!
There have been some issues with our kids that they were not looked after properly
Love the communication between the teachers and parents!
My child started lightbridge -Glenside as an infant now an older toddler the staff has been great. My child feels safe and loved. The environment is warm and welcoming and has shown care and understanding
Lightbridge Academy in Plainsboro stands out as an exceptional school, catering to children from infancy through Pre-K. The staff establishes strong relationships with each family and supplements the curriculum with external programs, such as Amazing Athletes. This allows children to engage in extracurricular activities, which is particularly advantageous for parents with limited time. I appreciate this aspect, as it allows me to provide my daughter with additional experiences that might have been challenging to arrange otherwise. Thank you all for everything from Nia and I.
cannot say enough wonderful things about Ms. Dominique. From the very beginning, she has been nothing short of amazing with my daughter. In her care, I’ve watched my daughter grow in confidence, learning, and social skills in such a beautiful way.
Ms. Dominique has a natural gift for nurturing children—she creates an environment where they feel loved, safe, and encouraged to be themselves. She goes above and beyond, not just teaching but truly caring, guiding, and inspiring. My daughter looks forward to her time with her every day, and as a parent, that means the world to me.
It’s rare to find someone who combines patience, kindness, and structure so perfectly, but Ms. Dominique does it effortlessly. I will forever be grateful for the positive impact she has had on my daughter’s growth and happiness. She truly treats every child as if they were her own, and that kind of love and dedication cannot be matched.
Much love to her, from Aubrie’s Mom
Both my kids have attended Lightbridge Academy of Plainsboro. Both my kids love the school and have learned so much. We couldn’t be more happier with their progress and education and staff is amazing.
Everything the staff, teachers, and how they are taking care of our kids.
I want to share honest feedback because I’ve been very disappointed with my family’s experience so far. The program feels disorganized and more like expensive babysitting than an intentional learning environment.
Here are the main concerns:
• Lack of classroom organization: My child is constantly moved between classrooms (orange and purple) without a clear transition plan. She doesn’t have a designated cubby, making drop-off and pickup unnecessarily stressful. Her belongings are always mixed up with others despite being labeled, and we often find other kids’ items in her bag and vice versa.
• No curriculum visibility: There are no updates, videos, or communication from the teacher about recurring circle time or structured learning activities. As a parent, I have no sense of what the children are actually learning.
• Food handling issues: Food isn’t logged correctly, items placed on certain shelves in the fridge are moved around, so the order of meals isn’t given based on parental preferences and snacks with additives and dyes are given without approval. Random food is offered to kids without parental consent.
• Afternoon care concerns: Afternoon teachers seem to disregard preferences shared with the main teacher. There’s no consistency or memory of parent requests. Instead of engaging activities, the kids are put in front of screens in the MPR while teachers sit and chat. They forget to offer the afternoon snack sometimes too.
• Overall lack of structure: There’s no consistency in communication, curriculum, or classroom routines, which makes it difficult to trust that the environment is meeting children’s developmental needs.
For the cost of this program, I expected a structured, organized, and enriching environment. Instead, it feels uncoordinated, inattentive to detail, and not aligned with the values of quality childcare and early education.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and leads to meaningful improvements
The older, seasoned, and compassionate staff truly stand out. Their experience and empathy create a safe, attentive, and nurturing environment for the children.
However, from my observations, some of the younger staff would benefit from being paired with more experienced staff, as they may not yet have the skills needed to supervise children as attentively as required.

Caring about kids. Teaching kids knowledge. Well designed schedule. Very clean classroom. the most important, Kids like this place.
