Phenomenal team, teachers, aides, directors. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. My daughter loves her teachers and they make her feel safe. We have been here since my girl was 18 months and will be 5 in February (our last year). We have loved our experience here so far, and always recommend to local friends/families. My daughter has grown and has learned so much from the fun and innovative ways teachers work with them and teach them.
Love the curriculum, the teacher-student interaction and setup.
The curriculum has helped my toddler learn so much!! The teachers care and are nurturing and amazing. The staff in the office is communicative and great. Even at a young age, kids are learning numbers, colors, shapes, ABCs, how to be polite and be social, and physical skills.
My daughter, Charlotte, has made significant progress in learning and developing her own strategies and skills.
changing staff often and young inexperienced staff for sitter
Lightbridge is amazing! Jaclyn and the entire admin staff are so attentive and in tune with every student in the school. Our children are in the infant and older toddler rooms and they both have the best teachers who understand their needs and ensure they are happy, healthy and constantly stimulated and having fun! We love Lightbridge!
We are very happy with the staff and the curriculum! We love Miss Taylor! She is very sweet and caring. My son is learning new things every day and is above his years!
Lightbridge Academy of Glenside has been a part of our family for so long that I can't remember life without them. The oldest Jarvis kid is now on her way to kindergarten in the fall, but has been coming to LB since she was 6 months old. Both of our girls love coming to school every day, and feel so comfortable with all of the teachers. My youngest will dodge my morning goodbye hugs and go straight for Ms. Kreshia! We feel so grateful to be part of such a supportive and fun community.
I love the location. The staff have all been responsive and kind. The teachers have been wonderful! My kids love them and really enjoy being there.
teachers are good and my son is happy to go there.
Lightbridge of Clifton, NJ has been a wonderful addition to the development of my son. He has been a student there for 1.5 years. I have seen positive impacts to his development since starting. He comes home with new vocabulary and sign language all the time. It is so hard to leave your 4 month old for the first time when returning to work and the staff at Lightbridge in Clifton made it easier. They are accessible all the time through phone calls or messages. We receive pictures almost daily and utilize the livestream camera option. He is now 22 months old and I am still happy there. The administration (Monica, Milli, and Kiara) are easy to communicate with and are always willing to listen to your concerns. They give very prompt responses and solutions. I’m always afraid of asking too many questions or bothering them too much but they never seem to mind and are always available. I can tell they have high standards and really care about making the school as safe, loving, educational, and fun as possible. We love the teachers in all the rooms we’ve been to so far: young infants, mobile infants, and toddlers. We toured majority of the other day care options in our area and no other facility had the amount of space and resources that Lightbridge in Clifton does. The outdoor play area is safe and large. The infant room has a huge no-shoe play area and feeding area. Nothing feels cramped or tight at all. Everything is relatively new and clean. I also see them switch out toys and books as they become damaged. They have a section for cribs which is kept darkish with a disco ball my son loved to watch as he fell asleep. They used our own sound machine on his crib which helped him sleep when not at home. I love the ease of the app on my phone and the ability to watch on a camera when I miss my son throughout the day. I’ve seen him get personalized 1-on-1 attention during play time by all his teachers through the camera quite often. They are always relating activities to their curriculum. I love all the dress-up days and extracurriculars they constantly have going like music, visiting pet zoos, chick hatching, water play, arts and crafts, themed days, etc. The summer camp fee is well worth it because they pack the schedule with a new exciting and enriching experience almost every day. Their lead teachers are exceptional- each one so far has treated our son like their own. They have outstanding memories for knowing each child’s personal needs. The only concerns I have ever had were the teachers wearing perfume that transferred to my son when he was an infant, not having a darker, more blacked out space for naps (which may be for safety), not being able to bring glass bottles or containers for food, and having mostly plastic toys that are cleaned with bleach (which is a state mandate). After touring so many places I think Lightbridge in Clifton has the best offerings at a price within our budget. On our first tour there we met a mother who told us they love it there, and currently I couldn’t agree more.
I feel like the kids mostly just play all day and don’t seem to learn much beyond a little bit of circle time. For the price, I would expect a stronger curriculum with more structured educational activities. The toddlers should have more opportunities to engage and learn, starting with the youngest children. At this age, they are developing so quickly, and I believe the program should focus more on early learning, language development, and age-appropriate educational activities in addition to play.
That said, I have noticed things have gotten better over the last couple of weeks, so I do see that some positive changes have been made. I appreciate those improvements and hope the daycare continues to build on them by placing an even greater focus on learning and educational engagement for the children.
More communication to parents when classroom teachers change and who they are.
Fun, interactive and structured for the kids
Wonderful, kind and caring teachers and administration. Also appreciate the very thorough and thoughtful attention to the curriculum. Our daughter is exposed to so many concepts and creative activities everyday!
Owner and Admin team are extremely difficult to deal with and extremely dismissive. Repeatedly, there is no clear communication or follow up. They do not care to resolve issues with families in any regard. The only positive is the great experience with the teachers who are very caring.
I have two children at LBA and have experienced every classroom from Purple Cats to Brown Bears! They both come home every day telling us about the theme for the week and all of the great things that they have done and learned. I am confident leaving my children in the care of teachers who love them and care for them as their own.
The teachers are very interactive and hands-on! We love receiving updates during the day with photos of our kids enjoying their day in the classroom. We appreciate the themed weeks in each class and activities that go along with it - such as the arts and crafts projects.
I believe the school schedule is balance but I would like an increased focus on academics (reading, writing, and math)
The learning lessons and friendly staff
The leadership here is incredible. From the administrative team, to the teachers (the teachers are rockstars - I'm obsessed with Ms. Madison). My son has flourished after starting school here, and he only attends 3 days a week. Clean, fun, creative, structured environment. It's truly a gem.
My daughter has been attending Lightbridge since she was 8 months old, and she is now 2.5. From day one, the communication between the teachers and administrators has been an absolute highlight, they truly care for her like family. She has the best time every day and constantly surprises us with how much she learns in such a fun way. Thank you, Lightbridge Edison, for everything you do!
The teachers are absolutely amazing! Everyone from the Directors to the teachers care so much about the kids it’s so comforting. My kids have learned so much and have fun doing it. We are sooo happy with this school.
I like everything about the program. My child enjoy his day a 100%. Most of the things that we mention for him, they always take care of it.
Only thing that could've been more better is talking to kids more so helps with his speech development.
As a 18 months old he is not talking saying as many words as he should.
Friendly staff, accountability, good activities
My son is so great at Lightbridge Academy. He’s a very Velcro baby, and I started him in Lightbridge to get him used to school before pre-K3 and his experience was fantastic. All the staff members treat him and all the other students with so much kindness. He took a while to adjust the school, because he was just home with myself so to be with other adults and students without mommy was of course a drastic change, but now he helps me pack his lunchbox and he’s excited to go. He starts pre-K 3 in September and he got placed at Lightbridge and I am so ecstatic about his placement! As a teacher myself, I love to watch the progression in students and watch them become comfortable and come out of their shell so to see it and my son has been a wonderful experience!
My son has been attending Lightbridge since he was 1.5 and will soon be 3.5 and we have always had such a positive experience. He has grown so much, gained such a great vocabulary (also in Spanish), and made lots of friends. As parents it is wonderful knowing my son is in an environment where he has fun and feels safe while we work.
I love the quality of care givers you have at your facility. Jocelyn, ms Olivia, ms faina, and ms heroine all have made me feel so safe and comfortable dropping off my son. Ms Jocelyn was the first teacher I ever had and my son was only months old, I had so much anxiety thinking about sending him to daycare but Jocelyn is the first person who made my anxiety go away, I trust her so much and it’s because of her that I learned to send my son here without a heavy heart or worry.

Everyone is so nice and approachable. I can tell everyone cares for my son.
