Great service from Steve, personable, friendly and knowledgeable
As I have twice reported, our original inspection was inaccurate due to an incomplete inspection with fabricated elements. Secondly the incorrect assessment of windows meant we were not eligible for grants for window replacements on our east side. Basically these were competence issues with our original inspector. And thirdly, after reporting the fabricated element on the initial inspection (twice) no one contacted us to make it right.
Our wind-up inspection was excellent and the inspector was both efficient and informative.
I would hesitate to make an overall favourable recommendation.
It’s been 2 weeks and I have yet to receive my report. The last time I had the report done I got it back in a week. I also made it clear that I’m traveling at the end of the month and the company that’s going to install my heat pumps is waiting on the report to get started. I also left a voicemail explaining this and I got no response.

I couldn't in fairness give a top rating because I have no experience of competing energy evaluators. I presume AmeriSpec does its work as well as its competitors. The evaluation did qualify us under the Greener Homes program, which is what we wanted, so that was good.
The inspector, Henry, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He quickly took the time and answered my questions when I had some. He was not condescending but seemed genuinely interested in helping me understand.

The technicians who have completed the inspection are always clear and polite. They explain what they are doing and why, if asked, and they explain what the next steps will be. I have heard from others that technicians from other inspection companies have been grumpy and aloof, which seems inappropriate when the service offered requires people to enter someone's private home.
Kevin was/is very methodical and thorough in his work, which is essential when you want to know and assess the state of the home being inspected. He has also been professional in his communications, punctual and willing to share more information on his findings.and assessments.

Restoring the credibility of office staffs.
The inspector was very kind and friendly, but the office staffs lost credibility. Because the office staffs told me they would send me a reservation confirmation email, but they didn't, so I contacted them again and told them I hadn't received the email, but they didn't send it after saying they would send it again. They even checked my e-mail address several times.
Steve is a true professional and someone I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone in need of inspection services!
I have dealt with this company for years. They are highly reputable. They take the time to explain everything to the client no matter their background. So that it’s understandable and clear. They also give solutions that are possible and suggestions. They are a company that puts the clients needs first and always do their best.
