friendlhy front desk.Nice cleana facility. Plenty of equipment, Convenient, pleasant location.
What I like best about the Y is the feeling of community and the organization's commitment to the local community. I also enjoy opportunities to volunteer.
I appreciate the responsiveness of the administration to our request to ADD a Friday 7:00 AM Pilates Reformer class with Tia.
I see that a pickle ball focused pilates class with Stephanie has been added, which demonstrates there is still demand for more classes.
There is still demand for Tuesday and Thursday Pilates Reformer classes at 7:00 am with Tia! Some of the 7:00 AM "regulars" are currently going to other Pilates studios to meet this need. PLEASE ADD these two days to the schedule. If you add them, we will fill them!
Clean exercise room, not too crowded. Lots of classes for different ages/abilities. Wish there was shower and locker room
Seamless
Good facilities except for the condition of the tennis courts
It is fantastic for seniors. There are so many classes and they are at an appropriate level for the older participant.
Friendly staff. Good sportsmanship. Good facilities
We’ve been members for 35 years and continue to enjoy our neighborhood club. Great pickleball program.
Variety of exercise classes, knowledgeable, friendly instructors, clean environment, helpful front desk staff, lots of work-out machines. Great place to make friends and take care of our bodies!
I structure my days around the water aerobics classes and free swim. My life has changed since my health insurance covers my YMCA Membership. I wish I had had it sooner when I worked. As a widow, my life was small. A pool membership would have been grand.
I love the pool, learning new exercises and what they address. I love so many ladies to swim with kin the pool!
I love singing to music while I exercise. The hot shower is the best, and then my day is guilt free from then on.
Bootcamp with Hallie, Elias, and Jenn is the best!
No matter where in the nation, the Y is the only club with group fitness classes that is nationwide!
Good place for kids

The YMCA is a friendly, low pressure environment with plenty of classes and activities to keep me coming back. Thank you!
I’ve been a member for many years, but I’ve only been able to start attending regularly in the last two because of my work schedule. I have to say that I find the atmosphere vastly more welcoming and wholesome than any of the more expensive gyms that I have been a member of in town. I really appreciate the kind behavior of the people at the front desk and the huge variety of classes that are available. Additionally, I find most of the instructors to be very knowledgeable and welcoming, and I have become much healthier over the last two years because the friendliness of the instructors has kept me coming back. There have been many good ones, but I would have to specifically mention Amy, Elias, and Tia. All three of them are much more than instructors, they provide a consistently welcoming and affirming environment. I always tell people it’s not the fanciest gym in town, but in my opinion, it’s one of the most important resources in Sacramento.
Non threatening/judgemental atmosphere
The facility is spotless and well-maintained. Pickleball is extremely well organized people participating. The gym equipment is in great shape.
I enjoy the cycle classes and the indoor pool.
Nice place, not too crowded, helpful staff.
The equipment is great, the spaces are clean and open. Having access to a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room is wonderful.
Exercise equipment is arranged in an orderly fashiob and is regularly cleaned and maintained. The Rollingwood YMCA has a very nice pickleball program.
Rollingwood YMCA offers so many classes tailored to the needs of seniors.
I like how friendly the staff are .
The non distractions ,
Tia Kilpatrick’s classes. She is an AMAZING instructor and manages to instill joy in exercising. Now that’s a talent, plus she’s a wonderful ambassador for the Central Y always praising it, the leadership and the other instructors. She also promotes the Capitol Y.
I like the social aspect of the Y as much as I like keeping in shape by doing water exercises.
EVERYTHING
I especially loved loved my dance airobics class with Teresa on Monday mornings! I made friends in this class and it was so much fun dancing to her selection of tunes! We miss her dearly!
I also miss Miss Vickie’s art work on the black board…what happened to her? and what a wonderful cheerful person she is at the front desk! Bring her back!!
