Member Testimonials
Very nice staff
Expert coaches, friendly atmosphere
Friendly staff, good teachers, participants are encouraging.
High quality equipment. Welcoming environment. I feel comfortable here.
The classes are well run and the gym and locker rooms are always clean. I’ve been a member since Rollingwood opened in the mid 70’s. The YMCA has done a great job in keeping Rollingwood up to date and meeting all its members needs.
Staff is very polite and friendly. The equipment is for the most part new and great quality. The building itself is old and some things need replacing or repairing but for just going for a workout it’s great.
I love the diversity of members, the kids' programs, the cardio and weight machine room
I've been coming to the Y for 22 years.
I use the cardio room only.
There is way too much equipment in that room—and people are getting Burt all the time.
Especially the middle row with way too many machines.
Next time I get hurt there, I'm coming to the front desk to complain loudly.
I enjoy using the treadmills. I have also taken chair yoga classes and balance classes.
Cleanliness and friendliness of staff.
The employees are all great! Very dedicated to their jobs
I love all the options for exercise, including swimming, weights and classes. I especially like that there are 2 pools with enough room for everyone.
Group classes. You have some great instructors.
Staff are friendly and personable. Members engaging and overall premises are clean in good working order.
Great facility, great staff, great community.
The Y at Rollingwood is a hidden gem the staff is great abd the facilities are all one needs to stay in shape.
Lots of options for activities and a CLEAN, odor-free facility!
The YMCA gym carries a calm and welcoming atmosphere. It feels less like a high-pressure fitness center and more like a community hub. Many of the members are older adults who bring a sense of warmth, patience, and friendliness. Instead of loud competitiveness, there’s a respectful, comfortable environment where people greet one another, encourage each other, and take their time. The pace is steady, the energy is relaxed, and it feels like a place where you can focus on your health without judgment — almost like an extension of home.
People working at Central Y are very friendly and remember me, that's very flattering especially after a long absence while recovering from hip surgery. Most folks attending the y for fun or fitness are also very friendly and accommodating: splitting swimming lanes, not monopolizing disability features and just generally being kind.
There's always a quick smile amongst users and workers.
Great people!
I like the variety of classes and the quality of the class that you offer
Accommodating
The water classes
The ease of use of the cardio facilities and weight room!
Friendly staff. Aqua classes and times are convenient for me.
I like the aquatic exercise classes. I also like that it’s a friendly place with a good mission.
The tai chi class is the best
Friendly staff, large program, easy to enroll.
I love Rollingwood, and I am very grateful that I am able to be a member there.
My favorite things to do there is to attend the group exercise programs and have attended many with many different trainers/teachers.
I’ve learned so much in the last two years of attendance that I can now trust my body ,ask for advice, and even make some suggestions.
I have also become good friends with several of the members which is another way to get support in showing up to exercise.
So thank you for Rollingwood, for continuing to support your members and thank you for doing an incredible job !

Love the water classes and instructors. They make it fun to workout
