I enjoy the personal repour the employees have with the people who come to the senior center. There is always someone available to answer your questions.
I am particularly happy because they have added an exercise class that is not so robust that old people even with handicaps can attend. We are all suppose to keep moving and it is even more difficult if you have shortness of breath or other disabilities that slow you down. It is so very important that you provide exercise classes for truly old people.

Excellent customer service
I thoroughly enjoy the ceramics class that I take part in on Tuesday mornings. Our class is taught by Sara Cantlon who has 40+ years experience both creating and teaching ceramics. This is both a chance to relax, learn and create your own pieces. There is also an afternoon class for those who like to sleep in. Come join us! I think you'll find it very rewarding.

The staff in upstair gym is very friendly ahd helpful for new comers who don't know the proper way to use the machine! Really appreciate his help! And also enjoy the pilates class, the instructor does a really good job! Wish have her pilate class in the early morning or evening so people who have to work in the office also can attend her classes.
Very affordable for Allen residents. It's close to home and has a wide variety of cardio and weight machines, running track, and recreational activities available. there is a lot packed into that building!

Price is right. Much more economical then other workout places. Like the fact that once a member, you can attend any of the classes without an extra charge.

I have been a member since this building opened. There is always something to enjoy. Two concerns right now: There are cards. bunco, and mahjang groups that have been meeting for years at the Center. Lately, it feels like we are being pushed aside to make room for exercise classes. Our group meets once a week and it is a struggle to find a place to play.
Another concern is: we have signed up for 3 exercises classes a week for July. The first Monday class was canceled as were the other two classes taught by same instructor. Tddddddhere was no phone notification of the cancellations. Monday we went to center and then were told class was canceled. Today was at center for another activity and thought I was jokingly asking abut the other classes, only to be tol were canceled without phone or email notification.

Excellent facility and staff.
My husband and I joined earlier this week. Ao far we are very happy. The staff is very friendly, the facility is very clean, and there are so many opportunities for fitness.

So many things to choose from
The value you get out of a Joe Farmer Rec Center membership for the price you pay is a huge blessing, especially in this economy. I’m a regular weightlifter and they have a new weight room separate from the cardio equipment, which shows they see a need and prioritize solving it. A membership also includes access to the Ford Pool during the summer, which is amazing for my two kids. Insane value for only $20/month.
Everyone is great and a very enjoyable time together.
