I do not make it a practice to participate in surveys unless a service is extremely unsatisfactory or exceptionally great. In this case, it is the latter.
When I call with a question or concern, I truly appreciate being able to talk with a human being (vs. talking to an automated answering system) within moments from making the call.  It demonstrates that Downeast Energy understands that my time is as valuable to me as their time is to them.  Downeast Energy's customer service reps are among the most understanding and respectful people with whom I've had the pleasure of working with.
  
Downeast Energy's automatic delivery system is timely and works well for me.  In my rural locale, during power outages (mostly caused by inclement weather), I depend on my standby generator to keep my household running.  And whenever I am in a pinch for more propane fuel, a delivery has always been made within 72 hours of my request at no additional costs.  
I have also found their fuel prices to be very competitive compared to other local suppliers. That said, I'm a happy Downeast Energy customer and would highly recommend them to new customers who are looking for fair prices and exceptional customer service!

Whenever I call the office everyone is very friendly and helpful. The guy who came out to do the inspection of our new house (I forgot his name!!!) was very nice, knowledgeable, and explained a lot of things to me.
Its the local service. We know the staff and they know us.
What I don't like is calling a local number and getting your call center NOT in Maine. People who have no idea about the lay of the land and the rather complex system we have.
If I could have gotten the Windham office directly I know we would have had oil sooner than 6 hours.
Jeff McMullin is an amazing wealth of information. He helped me to see the value of converting my home to propane. I appreciate the quickness of getting the propane tanks set up for a new furnace and a generator. Thank you and Kudos to Jeff for his help.
I like that you know when to fill my tanks. I like automatic payment option so I don’t have to remember to pay the bill.

So far I have had a great experience as a Downeast Energy customer, I have had a number of customer service interactions both in person and on the phone. I value the local office the most, it's important to keep a community experience to me. I am not interested in a regional office that does not value the customer, and having locals who can answer questions is important to me.
Maintenance / supplies. Good Customer Service and follow-through. Jamie follows through which is why I continue to be a customer. It’s an important ingredient to managing a business.
