I love the community the Poole ymca. I like going to the instructional classes and have become a lot more confident in my workout journey since joining the Y. I really like going to the barre class. The T/Th afternoon barre class time got switched to 5 and it has been nearly impossible for me to make it to this time slot due to working across town and not getting off in time. I really miss the 5:15 class. 15 minutes in traffic makes a huge difference for the members that have to come straight from work. Wish the time could go back.
The YMCA is a very convenient and close by to work out. I also like the very clean and family friendly environment. The YMCA staff are very friendly and helpful. I do wish that the YMCA stayed open later. Maybe until at least 10 or 11 pm.
The entire membership experience! Staff awesome, facility and equipment are top notch, hours/availability are perfect, and most of all the Mission of the Y matters!

Locker room was fine. There was an insect infestation in the men’s shower.
Great workout environment, and all of the facilities are very clean and well-maintained. I also really like that there is such a great mix of all ages at the gym!
The staff has also been incredibly friendly and welcoming. Marty helped me sign up with a 7-day free pass and remembered me after I officially joined. She was so welcoming and genuinely great at connecting with people. I've had a really positive experience!

Staff and classes are great
The Thrive community and classes are great! I still need an arm cycle which is apparently not on the priority list. Surely we could trade one treadmill or bike for an arm bike!

I like the activities that they plan around a theme for the children. I wish the program had options to pick, 2,3,4, or 5 days for the afternoon.
The people and the equipment
We be done soccer and basketball sports programs through the Poole Family YMCA. We are return participants for all of our children. As a former YMCA employee, I know all the behind the scenes that goes into programming. All of Noah’s work is appreciated and has made the sports great! The weekly communications and signs at practice are vey helpful. He also is great with the kids. He knows their names and gives out high fives.
The volunteers do a great job setting up. I am thankful there are parents who step up and coach. Our family schedule and younger siblings make it hard for us to volunteer but really appreciate others stepping up. The costs cannot be beat either. The quality of instruction, jerseys, and facility is such a good deal for the cost.

I love the Thrive program and would like to see more Thrive exercise classes at the Poole location. Please add more sections of the TTh Strength & Balance class on MWF or even on the weekend. Having most of them on TTh means less opportunity to participate. I'd love to attend the Wed Gentle Aerobics and Chair Yoga, but like many members, I need a day to recover in-between TTh. The drum class is fun but is back-to-back with the Strength &Balance class. Cramming it all together is too much. Seniors NEED these classes.
