The facilities are always clean, and there always seems to be something going on or things to do.
From the 1st day I visited, I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the gyn. I joined & I've been coming to about 5 classes a week and the trainers are AWESOME!

The people at the Poole Y are friendly and inclusive. As a senior, I appreciate the “Senior” classes.
The facilities were clean. I had no problem getting access to the rowing machine (erg). I enjoyed watching my son-in-law play basketball on the downstairs basketball court.

It's close to my home, has plenty of machines and equipment, has an indoor track for walking when the weather is unpleasant, and the staff are wonderful and friendly.

Due to my mobility issues I need to use a pool several times a week. With my membership I am able to use other YMCAs. I am traveling to Taylor Y in Cary to use their pool this fall and will check out the Alexander Y in Raleigh.
I recommend adding a Thrive chair yoga class at Poole.
I love your outside pool. I wish you had an inside pool as well for water tonics. That helps me the most

Great staff
The facility is clean. The staff are friendly and warm. I love the pool when it is in season. The classes have a nice variety. The members are also very friendly. The first class I went to, the instructor was busy with another student, and the members jumped in to explain what equipment I would need, how the equipment worked, etc. I love the app and how the classes don't feel overcrowded. The locker room is also clean and well equipped. I always feel safe in the Poole Family YMCA.
One item of feedback is that it would be nice if the WERQ dance class on Sundays could feature hip hop music rather than a pop playlist (I counted two hip hop songs during the hour). The instructor and dances were fun, but I think that would bring even more energy to the class and align with the title.
I enjoy the opportunity to attend the Thrive Balanced and Strong classes offered by great instructors on Tuesday and Thursday mornings....and developing many new friendships by attending, while strengthening our bodies. I also thoroughly enjoy all the wonderful outings that are planned for visits to interesting restaurants and great points of interest. Then there's the availability to use the variety of exercise/workout machines; all in a modern open space with natural and good artificial lighting. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. The Y provides lots of ways to support their community efforts. I'm so happy that my neighbor invited me to join!

It's a great facility with excellent equipment, friendly staff and the type of atmosphere that makes my work outs comfortable.
It would be good if paper napkins are placed near the equipment.
