Great value and facilities for entire family, friendly staff! Only negative is lack of good smoothie bar (Smoothie King / Tropical Smoothie) with wasted space there completely available. Smoothies and bar should be membership scannable and billed monthly through YMCA monthly charges.

The Northwest Cary YMCA women's locker room facilities are far superior to the Taylor YMCA women's locker room.
I wish that we had multiple lockers, multiple hairdryers(we have to ask to get 1), multiple sinks, actual changing rooms(I wish), & an actual sauna(I wish). There is one in the main building, but I would I would have to go outside in my swimsuit and then into the main lobby, then up to the second floor.
It has been said by an instructor that monies that were to go to building our pool were transferred to the NW YMCA to purchase the adjoining church to prevent bankruptcy.
I have been a Y member since 1996 and have been very disappointed with what has transpired. We have a very disgusting locker room
I hope that the funds can be repaid back to the Taylor Y so that we can have 3 functioning showers + 1 handicapped shower and 3 shelves for our shampoos, more that 25 lockers, preferably ones that are not glued shut from painting! And more than 5 benches so that all of us can actually change at the same time after swimming. Also, the drainage in the showers was destroyed when they refinished our floor, the water floods out. A few more than 4 toilets would be really appreciated as well.
I'm tired of suggesting, so now I am complaining. My suggestions have fallen on deaf ears.

The operating hours are helpful with my line of work and the childcare has been great! My kids love coming to the ‘gym’!

I love the NW Cary facility, and they’re great staff. My only complaint is allowing personal trainers to reserve equipment as it makes me feel that the Y considers non-personal trainer members to be second rate. We’re all waiting to get on the equipment we want!

Everything the staff everything
I love going to this Y. Suggestions:
!) Add an extra Smith Machine since this machine is so sought after. People actually have to hover and wait around until the person is done which puts a rush on the one using the machine.
2) Add a Hip thruster machine. These days women especially are really working hard to increase their glute muscles. This also might lessen the line at the Leg Press machine. That is constantly being used to the point that I find it pointless to add it to my workout because it's rarely available.
I love how friendly everyone is and that you add volunteer opportunities for your members which gets the community together in efforts for good. It's also wonderful that there is a church right next door. Thank you for all that you do!
