I’m not thrilled about the rearranging of the weight machines. It is now very crowded down the aisles and people tend to congregate around the machines now.

Tuesday morning I went to the North West Y. By accident, I took a purse with me that didn’t have my wallet in it, so I didn’t have my membership card with me. I thought this wouldn’t be a problem because I had been able to enter other Y locations without the card, because the Y has my information and my picture to verify my ID. However, when I approached the receptionist last Tuesday, he asked for my ID and said that I had to show him my ID or he wouldn’t let me in. I told him to look on his computer but he said no, without ID he wouldn’t let me in. So what is the purpose of having my information and picture in the system?
After this incident I went to the Taylor Y, where I was nicely welcomed without my membership card.
Classes, cleanliness, kid friendly activities, and the overall atmosphere and experience.
The facility is beautiful, but for me, it's the excellent instructors like Janine Santos + Jee. Their enthusiasm + great dancing makes for a great class. The instructors are all so good. We are fortunate to have such a great pool of teachers to choose from. I also love the variety of classes available.

I had my first visit to this Y. I attended a Thrive class that was just fantastic. Lively and enjoyable! This is not my home Y but I will definitely be back

Very clean and the pickup courts were really well run.
I love the YMCA and can't imagine taking my child anywhere else. The environment is consistently safe and welcoming, with the same friendly faces creating a sense of community. I've achieved weight-loss goals, built healthy relationships, and provided a great experience for my child.
One experience really stood out to me: After working out, I accidentally left my Beats headphones in their protective case on the chairs outside the gym area in the lobby. It wasn't until the next day that I realized they were missing. I called the YMCA, but it was Sunday morning, so the facility was closed. When I followed up, I was thrilled to learn someone had turned them into the lost and found.
This act of honesty reminded me why I love this community. It's filled with kindhearted and honest people, both members and staff. My son and I feel fortunate to be part of such a positive and uplifting environment.

I would like it if there were more availabile strength training equipment during the busy evening hours, for those times when l can’t make it to a class, however I realize there is only so much space available.

Friends I have made
Fairly well equipped, steam and sauna operate, friendly and helpful staff. Clean locker rooms, plenty of towels. Probably not appropriate for serious, competitive powerlifters but excellent for most everyone else. Wide variety of classes.
