It is just the right size and is hardly ever overcrowded, meaning, as in one rarely ever has to wait on machines. The exercise room is the best of all the other Durham Y campuses. They have THREE ping pong tables and two racquet ball courts, both of which are activities which foster social interaction. I miss the pool, but such is life!
My son came home tired from activities every day. He was always excited to tell me what he did at camp that day. He made friends and felt safe with his counselors!

My son likes the activities and the camp counselors. This is the first camp this summer he hasn't complained or spoken of a negative experience at camp.

My child has the greatest time there. The different sports/activities keeps the campers active and engaging. The lessons he's learning and the experiences he's having are simply amazing. The camp is affordable and the hours are great.

All is great except...PLEASE extend the Lakewood hours to 6:00 closing on Sunday's just like it was pre-Covid. And bring back the large towels like all the Y's in Raleigh and Cary have done.

I do recommend the YMCA to parents. I love the flexibility of going to multiple ymca’s. I do with there was childcare for older ages. I definitely use the facilities for myself and my child. We love the outdoor pools and soccer.

Convenient location, friendly staff, adequate equipment
We started a little rough, but finished great! My 7year old had a lot of fun at Camp Bull Run. The staff were always a delight to work with. Thank you!!!
