I love Ms.E. My child loves ms.e. The times for percare and aftercare allow me to work. 10/10 would recommend
Our family has really enjoyed the supportive, friendly, and fun environment at Lakewood Y’s youth sports.
Great teachers, friendly environment, excellent classes, gives back to the community.
The staff are amazing
The free weights
The hours
Lexx does a wonderful job with communication and running the program. The facility is wonderful and our children always have fun. The downside is relying on parent volunteers to coach. YMCA staff should be trained to coach if necessary, especially since several of them are always there sitting around during practices - they are there anyway since they are responsible for setting up and putting away equipment. Our team was without a coach for quite some time and it really takes away from the season. Many parents are not able to consistently attend and not able to coach.
The facility is always clean with equipment in working order. Excellent parking! Staff extremely friendly and helpful!!
The ONLY thing I wish you would do is mirror the wall behind the weight equipment (as you have done with the other wall. I hate facing a blank wall while using the equipment!
Not extremely crowded
Modern equipment
Parking availability
Nice front desk area. Stesm room.
I go to the Lakewood Y for Zumba with Shirley Yeh. Shirley is arguably the best Zumba instructor in the Triangle. Her spirit, sense of fun and the pleasure in dance/exercise is wonderful. It’s a challenging workout that has helped my fitness greatly. Thank You!
Friendly staff, convenient location..
Type of group fitness classes and sauna

Nice steam and sauna
Friendly staff, big workout area, steam and sauna, bike parking, comfy sofas and a ping pong table!
Lakewood Y has a good selection of equipment that's clean and well maintained. The facility is well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
The reception team members were very helpful in enrolling and get us acclimated to the place
Kick boxing class with Anthony A
Good classroom space, good locker room, very nice front desk staff.
The instructors are skilled and friendly, and the community of other members is fun.
I do have a concern about the cost of guest passes. It's literally prohibitively expensive: I will avoid bringing a guest. This makes me sad, as I'd like to share the Y with my occasional visiting friend or relative. Please consider going back to offering a couple of free passes per year to members as a perk.
Thed people and the STEAM and SAUNA rooms.
It’s a small, club type feel. Staff is nice and friendly.
Clean. Helpful personnel. Great classes
Good classes, friendly community.
We love Lakewood!! Everyone is friendly from the front desk staff to the instructors to the other members. It's an unbeatable location and not super crowded/busy. My all time favorite class -- the Wednesday kickboxing class -- is there. I love the amenities and the vibes, and I'm glad it is my home Y.
My only small wish there were more early evening classes (4/5/5:30) or more strength training class options in the weekday early evenings but I know this is the highest traffic time and it's hard to accommodate everyone. Thank you all for everything you do!
Gentle love the people there. Some times the steamroom doesn't work since that love this plase
The staff is very friendly and the steam room is amazing. I wish the steam room and the facility stayed open later.
The Lakewood YMCA feels like home. The staff are so friendly and helpful. And there’s a core group of members who have been with the Y long term. It’s a great spot to work out and stay for and also to socialize.
Friendly, competent, helpful staff.
Always clean. Class instructors are great!
Observation: Cut overhead fans on in the women’s locker room! They use to stay on, but lately nothing!
My daugther enjoyed the activities and the staff.
Good facilities with minor exception of HVAC issues. Excellent staff & group exercise instructors!

It's all been very positive! It's much more friendly from the parent-YMCA interaction perspective this year--I'm not sure what you all have done, but it's appreciated!
