Layout, nice equipment, amazing women's locker room!
Wonderful week. Kind and supportive counselors. Eager to get to camp each morning and tires at the end of the day.
I love the Lakewood Y. Lean & Cut strength training classes, nice size group exercise room, variety of equipment, great music play list, always friendly staff & atmosphere, love the kids playing ping pong in the middle of everything else going on.
Jessica is an excellent yoga instructor, really knows technique, adjusts to needs/abilities of her group.

Lakewood has an excellent staff, good equipment, both sauna and steam room and a true sense of community.
The staff are amazing! They know my name, we chat when I check in/out. The facilities are clean and usually superb. Good clientele--no crazy "gym bros" and it's full of folks who live in the area. I've made friends and I see people I know. Working out is never a chore at the Lakewood Y.

It is a location that is convenient, has great exercise spaces, wonderful instructors, nice amenities and feels safe. Parking (at the busy 5-6pm time over the summer has improved and I hope it continues to be well managed during the opening of the school year. Thank you for all you do to help us keep healthy!!

I like the Lakewood YMCA because
. the front desk staff are always very friendly and helpful
. the mid-morning Zumba classes are enjoyable
It will even be better if there will be a mid-morning dance (Lane or Xumba) class on every Tuesday.

Great activities are planned each and every day for my kid he comes home so tired so I know the day was full of fun and excitement. My kid tells me how much he loves the camp counselors and how cool they are. One thing I would change is the bees outside where the children eat. My son says it’s hard to eat with them around, but over all great summer!
I like the counselors and I like the school that they held it out. I like the programs and it’s a great resource. I would recommend it to anyone with kids up to 815 and even older. The YMCA has been a big part of our life. this is very helpful and I love that they take Financial Assistance I wouldn’t be able to send my child without it. Thank you so much for all you do And shout out to Mr. David and Mr. Chuck were doing a great job like always. And a shout out to Lexx because he was amazing this summer. I just wish they would’ve had some better counselors maybe a little bit more friendly but I know it’s hard out here right now so just thank you.
Right now Lakewood is experiencing a piercing noise near the entrance. It is very bad for your hearing and it is extremely annoying. It is unfortunate that the front desk staff have to put up with it.

Love the Y. Super friendly people, comfortable for anyone no matter the fitness level, nice range of equipment, large locker room with floor space to stretch out, decent hours, limited tv, good classes — especially Sam’s yoga!
Only complaint is some of the tv channels on in the gym can be inappropriate. USA channel and Law and Order program violent and often upsetting content. Please monitor more closely? Prefer HGTV, news, sports, talk shows.
I like the facility - it is a good size, has racquetball courts (which I use very often), and has both the weights and cardio machines I need. The size makes all of this easy to navigate, and it never seems overly crowded. Everything is clean, and there are always towels. The staff is fantastic, and I appreciate all their work making the our experience a positive one.
The staff does a good job of keeping the facility clean and working. The HVAC seems to go out a lot but the Y has to depend on DPS staff to repair it when it goes out. Nice mix of members - old and young, gay and straight, etc.
Clean locker room and showers. Easy to use the exercise equipment, not too crowded. The whole place has a good vibe.
The facility is a very inviting place to workout- very spacious and open, a wide variety of equipment and cardio machines, and I love the energizing music! The class space offers more room for calisthenics, stretching, and movement-oriented individual workouts. The rowing machine, yoga mats, and weights in the women's locker room are a bonus for private exercise, not to mention the saunas and steam room! A really wonderful facility overall.
If I would add anything, it would be great to have access to a speed bag or heavy bag- I'm interested in learning boxing techniques for fitness, and I think Lakewood would be a good place to offer classes and instruction to expand exercise options.
