I enjoy the Downtonw durham YMCA because of the staff and the friends I enteract with. I am concerned about the value of some of yoru repriar companies. I think you are over-charged for them "guessing" on what is wrong with the AC and steamroom/pool repairs. they should be overseen when they are on the job. the onsite maintenance person should spend more time on this large facilitiy that needs constant repair and supervision.
It's close to my home and the hours are convenient.

Overall I love the welcoming..there also polite and make sure you get everything you need to enjoy your time there far as towel water..if the vending machine takes your money they even assist with that in a timely matter ..I would recommend everyone to become a member!
Sufficient equipment, excellent variety of areas;ie gym, pool ,yoga room, spin room, etc
The staff and instructors of the DT Durham Y are friendly and helpful. I only didn't give a 10 because there is often limited equipment selection in the geoup fitness room and the locker room could use updating. My first few months with the Y has been great.
The staff is great; i love that there is a pool; it feels very community forward and diverse.

I like the fact that the YMCA serves everyone in the community, starting with children and including elderly adults.

My husband I have been members of the Downtown Durham YMCA for 25 years. I can honestly say over all those years the staff has been welcoming, helpful and friendly. It's been a great resource to workout and stay active, especially during the hot summers and cold winters.
It also has lots of options for families, with some great classes. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a place to get and stay fit. Esther Bent
The staff are the best out of any Y! They truly care about their members and treat me like family.
It’s a full service, large facility with gyms, exercise facilities, and a pool. Staff are friendly and helpful. Members are friendly and say hello.
I mainly go for the Zumba classes, which I really enjoy. My only difficulty is that sometimes it is hard to park.
Good gym, clean equipment and those awesome new rowing machines.
I like that this location has multiple squat racks, multiple benches for flat bench press, and a track so that I can walk laps in between sets.
The machines are kept in excellent condition, as well as the gym/courts.
Lots of pieces of equipment. I wish she would get more equipment for hope valley farms, which is closer to my house.

Really nice front desk staff. Very clean facility and I will be coming back weekly for my son has basketball coaching twice a week there.
I absolutely love the Y. It has changed my life. Having childcare for my daughter while I work out means I get a break and focus on my health. She also loves getting to play with the other kids. The staff at the downtown Y are amazing and always greet me with a smile. I feel welcome and at home at the Y
The location, the many workout pieces of equipment, the indoor running track, and most importantly to me, the indoor pool.
The friendly staff and the locker room facilities are always clean.
