From the moment you walk into the Y, the receptionists are always cheerful and conversational. I like having the variety of things you can do for exercise. If you come with someone and finish early, you can always go work on a puzzle or have a good cup of coffee or tea. So glad I joined!
Friendly reception, always available to check you in and always very upbeat. I love Janice's HIIT class on Saturday. She is such a vibrant, inclusive teacher and her class is always fun and inspiring and sets me up for a good day.

When I take my grandchildren to the Y for their activities, there are activities for me to do too.

Community
We could use another box in the weight area for step ups and spit squats. We have one by the raquetball courts and could use a second one.
I love the large space for exercise and the great support staff.
I love how sportsmanship and learning are emphasized in YMCA sports.
I like how this league is well organized. It provides a great place for fun sports at a young age.
I like the Pilates and Strength classes I take , I ‘ve tried water aerobics, and pickleball and have enjoyed each even though I do only occasionally. I’ve used the weight room and track from time to time. I loved the Friday morning yoga class that was changed out to Pilates. All of the front desk folks are lovely. The only names I know are Ann , Delaney and Mary Pat. There are some very nice others whose names I just don’t know.
Nice staff, good programming - especially morning classes
Water aerobic instructors are all great -- bringing different styles and challenges to us class members.
I wish there were 10:00 a.m. water aerobic classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays also.
And I also wish there were water aerobic classes offered in the evenings. When I was working as an English teacher, I came to evening water aerobic classes and it was just what I needed after a day at work, I know other people who work would like the classes, too.

We love the Y - the membership is a “must have” for families in the Triangle.
- It seems like we can rarely enjoy the Lakewood Park because we are not permitted there when campers are in-site.
- scheduling and organizing 1:1 swim lessons has been a pain. We have to travel to Cary for them and we were not permitted to schedule the 8 lessons out in advance or get the same time slot week to week. Though the instruction has been fabulous.
- Lakewood flag football viewing area around the fence is normally littered with trash - it’s gross and embarrassing to bring family and friends and a misrepresentation of our lovely, and typically clean, Y.
- Thx for adding outdoor changing tents at Hope Valley. It really helps our large 2-girl, 2-boy family change safely before and after the pool.
