Classic summer camp experience outdoors and high energy
Camp Clearwater has been wonderful for my 2 kids, one of which has some developmental delays. I appreciate that this camp doesn't just say they're inclusive but actually delivers. The Director, Kaitlyn, has been responsive and wonderful to work with and every counselor has exceeded my expectations. I've never been worried about their camp experience at Clearwater. We'll be back next year!
Love the facility, the friendly employees, the variety of classes being offered, the children's programming.
It's very supportive of athletes of all abilities. And it's a lot of fun for families.

Lower the monthly cost and you get a 10 the staff are great at all the YMCA sites so with the expensive monthly cost you get a 9 for lack of affordability.

My son had a blast at YMCA Day Camp! The counselors were always welcoming in the mornings, and it made my son even more excited to start the day!
The overall communication for what to expect each week was very clear and I thought the team went above and beyond to make the "themes" for each week engaging for the campers.
I also loved that they had an ice-cream truck come every Thursday for the campers...it was definitely a highlight for my son.
Also, a huge thank you for all of the weekly/daily rewards such as "Camper of the Day" and "Star Award." This type of recognition is HUGE for my kiddo and very appreciated.
Needless to say, my son was very sad for the summer to end but luckily will be returning for afterschool in a few weeks!
The water aerobic instructors are all talented and encouraging. I've made friends with classmates.
We go to Clearwater and have for years. We love all of the outdoor activities. The camp has been a wonderful experience for my kid over the last 6-7 years. So much so that next year they hope to become a counselor 🥰
Friendly staff
It has been full of structure and my girls have absolutely thrived there!!!! Dev and Zia have been amazing and so helpful. Always keeping communication open and letting parents know what's going on. My girls really enjoyed this camp and hope they will be able to attend again next year!

David attended CHYDC as a camper and now as a 2nd-year CILT and all experiences have been excellent. The day camp staff has always been super supportive of him, and he has enjoyed the different activities, competitions, themes, and ice cream truck! We have been grateful for the leadership opportunities provided and lessons learned, and it has been rewarding to watch David grow in this area.
My son loved every bit of summer camp. He came home excited, sometimes exhausted from having so much fun. The staff members are friendly and made me feel like he is good hands.

the staff works to build community and there are excellent programs for all age groups. The facilities are good--though we may be about to outgrow ours. Thank you for what you do.
