Camp Clearwater is the best! It is everything you picture when you think “summer camp”: canoes, archery, arts and crafts, swimming, games, woods, sweat, dirt. The counselors are fantastic. My kids have been attending for years and I’m 100% confident that Camp Clearwater will be a core childhood memory.
What I like most about the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA Day Camp experience is that it's fun, engaging, and well-organized. The campers have opportunities to make friends, try new activities, stay active, and build confidence while being supported by caring staff
Very friendly front desk staff , clean facilities, overall comfortable and quiet!
The response from the entire staff exceedes normal standards. If I have a request, whoever I speak with accepts my request or question as their action item.
They don’t just deflect my request back to me. This is the sign of a customer centric philosophy.
Example: if my question needs “Customer service support”, the staff member doesn’t just respond with “you need to contact C.S.”. They say “you need to contact C.S. and here is their phone number” AND THEN THEY FOLLOW UP!!

The instructors are amazing-Henri, Andrea, Joan, Rani. The members are very warm and welcoming. It is a terrific community. And…the bonus is an outdoor pool included in your membership!

The people are very nice, all of them, not onlythe employees, but also the folks that come to the Y, and the classes are good, I like the teachers very much — they understand about limitations, and you can work around them.
The staff were really friendly, and I was able to receive financial aid to make the membership more affordable.
Convenient location or me.
I love the classes, proximity to home, pool in the summer, swim lessons for kids and racquetball for husband. I love Sam C.'s yoga class on Thursday, but I wish it was just one hour!

The facility is extremely clean and eell-maintained. The staff is very friendly and professional. The instructors are well-prepared, and have excellent classes.

I like the staff--they are competent and friendly and helpful. My only reservation about the Y is that we have outgrown our facilities. I think a plan needs to be in place for expanding the Y!

I’ve been a member of the Chapel Hill Carrboro Y since 2013 when I moved to Chapel Hill from Sarasota, Florida, where I was also a member of the YMCA and prior to that New Jersey where again I was a member of the Y so I’ve been a Y member for over 30 years.
my experience has always been a good one. My kids participated in sports and summer camps at the Chapel Hill Carrboro YMCA. All in all it’s been a great experience from my kids participation to Group workout, Summers at the Meadowmont pool in fact a couple of summers when my kids were young we visited different wide pools, which is a great experience due to this membership.
The YMCA has been a part of my family for quite sometime, my almost 18yr and 20yr old attended and now my 6 year old! Then and now the YMCA has always been outstanding, which is an understatement! From customer service to camp counselors, after school to summer camp! The life experience’s and memories last a lifetime.. Very positive experience, so far so good!
