More lap swim hours. Always crowded
We are relatively new members and are participating in exercise classes as well as using the gym equipment.
The classes we attend are directed by Denise B. and are very well done.
The exercise room is clean and all machines are in perfect condition.

Subject: Quere about signage
Hello,
I am writing about the sign near the entrance of the Soundview YMCA informing everyone about "Judeo-Christian values" . I am Buddhist and I know that many other Soundview members are of other faiths, or of no traditional faith. Elevating two religions above all other beliefs makes everyone else feel like second-class members of the Soundview YMCA. We are being tolerated, but it's not really our YMCA. Why is it necessary to do this, unless of-course that is the actual intent?
It also opens up the very large question of which Judeo-Christian values underly the Soundview YMCA? Same sex only marriage? Views on abortion?
Why would you want to do this and bring discord into a very non-discriminatory, all-welcoming environment?
Your respectfully,

Make swimming pool water warmer
More than once in past year classes were cancelled, and we were not notified. Classes also with notice get cancelled when school programs trump them. I understand that the membership includes a great deal of options, but when you join only for the classes and you show up to no class or it is cancelled because of other programs...then you feel as if you are paying for nothing because you are. I wish there was more insulation for noise between calming classes and excessively loud dance classes. Sometimes Zuba golden is too crowded and one has to keep dodging other dancers. Parking on some days is tight to find a space even when one car pools.
Child watch on the weekends
I love the Woodruff YMCA because of the wonderful, welcoming spa-like atmosphere and everyone is always so nice. They offer great classes, I come 4 times a week and take a couple of classes each day. The classes I take are yoga, active together, strength training, balance & flex and step. The teachers of the classes are amazing!
It is too expensive. If insurance doesn’t pay for it, you have to devote a lot of time to the Y to get your money’s worth.
The welcoming atmosphere, friendly personnel, the offerings, and cleanliness of the facility.
I love how accepting the y is. And I love the pool!
The staff is kind and caring and the facilities are pristine. Very communicative administration.
The pool area and the pool itself are very well maintained temperature wise. In my experience, this is rare. I find the lifeguards very nice and the people at the desk very efficient.
I LIKE THAT THE APP HAS ALL THE NECESS;ARY INFORMATION ON A DAILY BASIS. I LOVE THE THREE GALS AND ONE GUY WHOSE CLASSES I TAKE. THEY KNOW THEIR "STUFF" AND I GET A GOOD WORKOUT- SOME MORE INTENSE THAN OTHERS.
THE WELCOME STAFF ALWAYS HAVE A SMILE AND IT'S A WARM FEELING GOING IN TO WORK OUT.
THE TRAINERS AND/OR STAFF ARE ALWAYS READY TO ANSWER QUESTIONS WITHOUT EVER LOOKING LIKE I AM ANNOYING THEM.
I COME IN SMILING AND LEAVE IN THE SAME MANNER.
ALSO- IT IS CLEAN.
THE ONE ITEM I THINK THAT CAN USE A LITTLE SPRUCING UP- MORE WEIGHTS OF FIVE POUNDS AND UP. SOME OF THEM HAVE PIECES OF THEIR COVERING WORN OFF AND ARE BARE TO THE METAL. IF THERE IS A VERY FULL CLASS, IT IS SOMETIMES DIFFICULT TO GET THE DIFFERENT WEIGHTS I WOULD LIKE TO USE, DEPENDING OBVIOUSLY ON THE CLASS.
Bring back silver sneakers
The atmosphere and the friendliness is the best Lots of diversity.
When someone has an injury in one of your classes, your first impulse shouldn’t be to make them sign a liability waiver. I’m not “refusing treatment,” you had no treatment to offer! Horrible experience. Kept me away from the gym months past after I had healed. And I still hold a grudge.
And my kid’s age group filled up her swimming level twice in a row so she had to stop swimming. No options, just filled classes. Awful.
The only reason I still go is because you’re the only Pilates around.
Great staff and great facility
The folks who work there are very friendly and very helpful.
lower price
This summer was our son’s first experience at Camp Teepee. He thoroughly enjoyed the week and looked forward to going each day. The counselors kept him safe all week yet made the week fun and interesting. He loved all the activities and enjoyed being with some friends.
Staff is very nice and helpful. Facility is clean
Excellent classes, trainers and teachers. Super atmospheric and clean. My pleasure to belong to this wonderful YMCA, E.H.
Diversity of classes. Staff is exceptionally kind and welcoming.
Classes, equipment.
Make it affordable, especially to seniors. Our age does not preclude us from living healthy active lives
The women's lockers rooms need to be updated.
The vents above the showers are filthy.
The centrifugal suit dryer is in the wrong place. Wet bathing suits are dripped over the floor where hair dryers are being used. It should be with the showers.
We need more showers in the locker room and less toilet stalls.
Communication when the pool is closed is spotty at best. Things happen but there needs to be a way to let people know. For example, when the competitive pool was closed for cleaning recently, the schedule indicated 2 days but then you needed an additional day and people were turned away because that wasn't communicated.
The person sitting at the desk shouldn't be watching videos, movies. Its a job.
The ymca is clean, the staff is pleasant and professional. The pool and the fields used by our children is amazing.
Please add more lane swim time in the evenings. Only one hour on Tues/ Thurs is very limited.
