Fabulous facility
Friendly Staff, Very Clean Environment, Open and Close hours are a definite plus.
The leaders are fantastic and take the time to get to know our kiddos! Our 3 year old has a blast learning along side other kiddos.
Love Y day camp!
We have been participating in the Y Summer Camp since 2021, and we have seen it grow, expand, processes improve, structures changing for the kids (tents this summer for each group), staffing training, etc. It really has been a great program for our children, helping them build lasting bonds through kids in the community and stay active and engaged through the summer. My ONLY suggestion from this summer's camp ... the kids are FILTHY when they get home, maybe some more than others. I feel like a lot of that comes from the area where they spend most of their days. As a parent, I love that they are outside, but the dry, dusty area does make for some maintenance when the kiddos get home. Backpacks and lunch boxes need washing regularly, and they def don't wear any nice clothes. It'd be great if between summers, the Y could look at how they can make that outside area a bit more ... clean? Maintained? I'm not sure of the answer, but I wanted to share my ONLY area of improvement from this summer. I will admit that I've heard similar comments from other mothers who have used the Y Summer Camp.
kids have fun, lots of activities
My kid likes it. I like the variety of activities.
My child absolutely has a blast, and is excited everyday to go back.
My kids were apprehensive about camp at first but now they are excited to attend. We hear good things about Jelly belly, M&M, Billy Bob, Tommy and SpongeBob. The kids always comment about how fun they are.
We don't attend on Fridays because of our work schedules so my only wish is that the swimming schedule rotated so my kids could have an opportunity swimming.
The prices have been reasonable compared to what we've spent on childcare in the past.
We will definitely consider Day camp next summer.
They take care of kids and give them extra attention when needed
You are an amazing facility with much to offer, but between my responsiblities for my husband who had a stroke 3 years ago, our grandchildren and dogs, and my full time job, I simply don't have time to take advantage of all you have. I'm either too busy or too tired most every day. Thank you for having such an awesome faciltiy and programming. Sumner is very blessed to have you in our community.

The instructors are amazing and I like that there is a wonderful mix of classes to choose from.
I absolutely love this gym and do proactively recommend it to people. Shoutout to Oksana, who is a very big reason that I’m a loyal Gordon YMCA member. I have a 5 month old that I need to breastfeed every time I visit. Is there any way to create a dedicated nursing room? My normal routine is to try and find a vacant stall in both the women’s and co-gendered bathroom. It’s very difficult not to mention very uncomfortable.
I like the Y because it has many different classes and stations to fit my specific needs. The staff is very friendly.
The staff
I’ve been so happy with all the activities my kids are doing. I’ve been very impressed with the organization and kindness shown during the day camp my 3 year old was in. The teachers in the classes for toddlers seem more engaged with the kids. I’m very happy and excited for visits at the Y with my kids and that wasn’t always the case. Please start adding reserved parking spots closer to the front for guests traveling with multiple small kids in strollers. That would improve safety and convenience for us with small kids in the parking lot having to get in and out of the car.
