Hello,
I have good experiences at the Y. I do have one critique. I workout in the weight area, and twice I have noticed larger groups coming in to play basketball I assume ( they come carrying basketball shoes and basketballs). They don’t have membership cards and will spend time chatting with the front desk and then are directed to the sit down “guest service” area at the rear of the check in desk. Then they will stand in line, before sneaking in. The front desk personnel is distracted by other members and they use that opportunity to sneak in. I, frankly, think that is unacceptable. All the members pay for the privilege of the Y and they are sneaking in. I think you should have a stronger defense against this. Limit guests of members and make them wait near the sliding doors until they are allowed in or not. Paying members will have to wait for the basketball court while they sneak in. I think this is especially egregious in the summer time. It’s light out until 9 and the weather is great for playing at outdoor public parks.
I've been a member of the Gordon Family YMCA for about 10 years. It's an excellent gym with tons of different options for working out. Staff are great and the equipment is in good working order most of the time. I consider the gym essential to make it through the long, dark, winter months. The only failing I've seen might be in regards to the time it takes to get a broken piece of equiment repaired which requently seem to take months.
So many great things. Staff is awesome, daily activities are cool. My only feedback would be to make their swim time longer

This is a wonderful program.
We love our Gordon Family YMCA experience! Our kids are thriving in the summer camp — they come home excited about the fun activities, sports, swimming, and new friends they've made. The counselors are fantastic and truly care about the kids. Thank you for creating such a wonderful community space — we’re grateful to be part of it!
I love how they have the kids watch . We have 2 under 5 and it’s so helpful. Letting me and my husband workout together .

A fantastic community asset. I highly recommend the senior fit class at this YMCA! A good selection of classes for active older adults is available, offering the perfect balance of cardio, strength, and flexibility. The instructors are top-notch—encouraging, knowledgeable, and always welcoming. The entire facility is exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and has a friendly atmosphere. It is a wonderful place to stay active and meet great people!

Equipment
Everything! Staff & they greet you as you enter and exit. Cleanliness of the facility, & incredible in the women’s locker room. Someone is always willing to help or answer questions. Lifeguards are great! Completely Happy… thank you all!

The workout equipment is great and showing up early in the morning you really don't see any kids which is perfect.
There’s so many options for my kids to try out. I love that the classes are only 4-5 weeks so they don’t have to commit for a long time if they don’t like something.
