Member Testimonials
I joined two years ago through a Medicare advantage program. Tammy at the front desk helped me get signed up and showed me around the facilities. I had been a member back in the 90s when my kids were young and I was pleased to see that it is still family friendly. I was also delighted to see that Rich at the front desk whom I remembered from the 90s is still with them. I usually come in to work out 3 or 4 days a week and always feel welcomed.
Clean facility with friendly staff. Lots of exercise machines, plus classes. Very convenient location. My Medicare wraparound insurance covers the membership cost!
Employees are friendly and feels a little more "home town" than other gyms.

I love my Spin class with Heidi. I love my friends I have made at the YMCA. The weight room is also very nice. The people at the front desk are great - Rich, Isaiah, Donna and Tammy to name a few.

Tempe Y feels like our community of friends after these years before and after COViD.
We especially enjoy HEALTHY BACK YOGA with Donna Horowitz and look forward to being there every day.
IN FACT, WE REQUEST THAT DONNA BE PERSUADED TO OFFER A MONDAY CLASS TO GO WITH OUR WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY CLASS.
You are our second home.

Friendly place to work out.
Lots of good people at the "Y" and good instructors
We like the YMCA basketball program. We enjoy our coach and team. However we did notice that we are in the 1st and 2nd grade league and we now have younger children on the team. This has been an issue for my son this time around and he has expressed that. The size and mentality of the younger students is vary different developmentally and is also a safety concern as i have seen the larger children fall on top of the tiny ones. We also feel that it is a bit over priced for such a short league (6 games), compared to other programs offering the same experience and similar practice/game schedules
Coach Becky Wagstaff is the best! She has been coaching one of my daughters in volleyball for several years. She really has made a huge difference in their level of play and understanding of the game.
Also the front desk people are always so friendly!
It's organized, fairly priced, and the coaches we've had so far have been great. I also like the schedule of a mid-week practice and a Saturday game.
Great program!
I have participated in other sort leagues and the YMCA is far superior to all of them. My son and daughter have learned so much from their coaches. The Director is always present and available to chat.
Great Sports Director that cares about the kids!
I feel like most of the coaches are more experienced than other places. Coach quality is important.
