Everything!!
My daughter truly enjoys her time here and looks forward each time.
We love the staff, the teachers have been fantastic and I’m very grateful
The staff are excellent, very friendly to parents and very professional. My kid likes the variety of activities offered, especially pool time. Keeps them active over the summer. Actual physical activity at this camp, no watching TV!
My grandson loves it.
My son has learned to swim this summer. He’s had new experiences that he would not have otherwise had. He’s took some time to get used to go to camp but he truly loves it now. He’s met lots of friends and the group leaders have been wonderful to him.
The camp coordinators and staff have been excellent. This was my daughters first time going to a summer camp, she's 5 years old and has gone to the same daycare. We actually showed up on the wrong day and by we I mean me, dad. The staff worked with me to figure out pin numbers and dates as well as gave my daughter a preview of what camp would be like. She went from crying the night before saying she didn't want to go to camp to asking if she's going to camp today on the weekends. 10 stars!!
The staff has been amazing & the hours are great for working parents. The field trips are a nice treat for the campers & gives them days to look forward to and get excited about. I also love that the kids get to swim.
Great Experience! My 5 yr old daughter loves the field trips and comes home exhausted!
This is our first time enrolling our twin boys in the YMCA Summer Camp, and they absolutely love it! We couldn’t be more happier with our experience. They always look forward to the weekly field trips and swim lessons at Camp Chippewa. They enjoy making arts crafts and playing with new friends. Beyond the fun activities, the camp does an excellent job of shaping young minds by teaching important values like sharing, teamwork, kindness, and respect for others. We truly appreciate the caring environment the staff has created, and that’s what makes this camp so special to our family.
The counselors are so friendly with children and parents. Love the different activities and field trips.
It is full of activities and games for the children. The children gain new friends and have an overall good time.
The kids are always doing activities and they love the swimming and field trips.
My daughter has absolutely loved her time at YMCA Day Camp! The planned field trips have been fantastic and have given her so many fun and memorable experiences. She always looks forward to camp and comes home excited to share stories about her day. It's clear that a lot of thought and effort goes into creating engaging activities for the kids. We have been very happy with our experience and highly recommend YMCA Day Camp to other families.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The counselors were absolutely wonderful, caring, greeting campers by name every morning. My daughter was very anxious when she started, but quickly grew to love Camp Dakotah.
I love that my young child was exposed to such an array of activities including canoeing, archery, and swimming.
The field trips were also well-organized and thoughtfully executed.
My grandson really enjoys the camp. He’s happy to go in the mornings and he’s happy when he is picked up in the evenings.
Children are able to experience different activities to learn and interact with others.
It’s a great place to send my daughter for summer camp. My daughter had a wonderful summer break this year and the teachers are amazing.
The camp counselors are energetics, full of enthusiasm, and motivated to ensure each camper has a memorable experience, and a fun filled summer session. I love the hours provided for the parents to be able to have extended hours to fit our busy work/life schedules. The price for all of this and the activities and field trips are unmatched to other facilities. Keep up the great job, YMCA forever.
Staff are all friendly and my kiddos come home tired every evening. Highly recommend!
My kids are excited to go each day! The counselors are caring.
The excitement my child has when i pick him up and he tells me about the fun he has had at camp that day.
I wish they had more swim or outside adventures. Maybe even a trip to the library. I wish it was a little cheaper too, but other than that it was great.
The day camp is full of activities and field trips that keep the kids busy which is great! My girls never come home bored and they love camp and the camp counselors!
Everything was fantastic! The camp counselors are absolutely amazing. They are so dedicated and truly put their hearts into leading the kids every day. I really appreciate their patience, energy, and hard work. Thank you all for giving my child such a wonderful experience!
It has been a wonderful experience for my child. I would highly recommend it. The drop off and pick up is very easy, and the daily structure of activities has been nice.
I like the hours, the lunch and snacks provided, the swimming, the variety of activities!
Activities and field trips are great. My kid loves attending.
My daughter, 8YO, came home with a smile everyday. She had new experiences throughout the summer and met a lot of new friends that will last a lifetime. The counselors keep the environment lively and safe. She’ll definitely go back next year!
We love the field trips, swim days and just overall enjoyment our child gets day to day.
My son enjoys some of the activities, swim days, and the field trips. While my son does not always enjoy it, he is watched and well taken care. The people there have been great and I appreciate what they are doing. The summer and the after school have been good opportunity for childcare and I would recommend it. Communication for the summer camp is primarily done through the app so it is necessary to download it.

Camp is always fun and convenient for us every year. The team is very nice and work with the children very well...even challenging situations with the kiddos. I've seen the team calm crying and temper tantrums. The field trips are amazing . I think the kids prefer going out instead of the in house on Thursdays.
This year the only complaint and a very big one is the kids don't like the new food vendor for breakfast and lunch. They received frozen sandwiches often and untasteful barely edible meals.
They want to now bring their lunch which makes it inconvenient for mom of course.
I ask that you go back to the original vendor and if thats not possible find one that has better food options. The kids burn a lot of energy during camp and their refuel is very important.
If help is needed I volunteer to assist in this endeavor
