From the bottom of my heart—my son and I absolutely love the YMCA!
Since this is his first time ever being in a school, daycare, or camp setting, it was an emotional transition for both of us. But I’ve been so fortunate to have a team that is not only supportive of my son but of me as a parent as well.
He talks about swim lessons and archery every single day, he genuinely loves being part of this program. I’m especially grateful for his group leaders, who made him feel like he belonged, even when it wasn’t easy in the beginning. Their patience and kindness have made a big impact.
A special thank you to our Program Director, Timm. My son doesn’t have many male role models in his life, and his whole face lights up when he sees Timm during the day. That connection means so much to both of us.
And to our Site Director, Bethany—thank you for your incredibly genuine heart. You’ve made us feel welcomed and understood from the very start. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to support and guide my son through his first camp experience.

Arrange some age appropriate sessions maybe like reading challenge, math workshop as my elder kid who is 12 is finding arts and craft very boring

The camp director and staff are so kind, professional and organized. They program is a perfect balance of fun and learning for the summer. I grew up in the YMCA and learned how to swim at the Y and it is as great now as it was then. This is our first year in the summer program, but will not be our last.
I liked the fact that they kept my kids engaged in different activities as well as making them have a swim test. This proved to me that my kids safety was your #1 priority. Plus, my kids enjoyed the experience and that made me happy.

The staff, the activities, the schedule of care are all pluses for this program. This is our first year with the program and my daughter is enjoying every day. She loves attending!

Location at Miller Elementary was great this year!! The field trips and pool day. So many activities. Rhonda was great.
Friendly counselors during drop off and pick up. My son seemed to enjoy himself and was excited to go most days. Convenient location for us, especially with swimming lessons directly after camp.

Convenient location, activities with field trip every week
It was good experience, we would like it to improve like swimming daily or some activities for older kids. Older one are not properly engaged
The staff is very friendly .my kids love it there.
My daughter and two nieces all go to camp lobos they have been there for weeks and they love the experience. They always have a good day everyday. Devon and his staff are very helpful. We really appreciate them they made me feel very comfortable and safe when I leave my girls at camp they always are sending updates and answering any questions we need. The girls love Mr. Devon they have made this a great summer for my girls
