It’s very convenient to have the YMCA after school program at the school my daughter attends. The staff is very nice and friendly. I also love the security as well for the kids safety each parent has a unique PIN number that they have to key in to check out your child each day. I love it and would definitely recommend to any parent who needs help with their kids while they are working. It’s affordable too.

Convenience
The YMCA staff are great when it comes to working with my daughter and other children. My daughter enjoys coming to the afterschool case with YMCA. The reason I put 9 instead of 10 is because sometime when I call to the the Y know I’m here to pick up my daughter, the person answering the phone seems angry or upset. But when I’m greeted at the door, they seem happy.

I like the convenience of my child being able to stay at her elementary school campus for after school care.
The staff is serious and dedicated. Ms. D is kind and respectful towards everyone. The staff is also connected with walkie talkies to each other and know where the children are located at all times. They feed the kids afternoon snacks which is so helpful. It is a blessing to have a place where I can rest assured that my child is safe and cared for. It has been a great experience for both my kids, 5 and 4 years old. They both come out happy and often asking us to pick them up later - they enjoy the play time they have, snacks, and overall program!

My son adores this program because he feels safe, seen, and excited by the activities. This is a direct result of the staff's exceptional professionalism and the program's impeccable organization. The environment is structured so well that it clearly prevents issues before they could ever begin. A truly exemplary operation.
My son has level 2 autism. The staff at Lakeside Elementary have been excellent in helping him adjust to after school care and he enjoys his time there.
This is our first year having enrolled our daughter in YMCA and she LOVES it. Therefore we love it. My only pain is that she never wants to leave.lol
I’m really thankful that they have made her feel comfortable in this after school program because she typically takes a while to adjust to change. So far so good!

YMCA has already been a huge help to me and my family. While facing some struggles with my child on the autism spectrum, they have not given up on us and continue to work with us to figure out strategies and always to help him thrive. I will forever be grateful to them for their commitment to children and their families!
Best experience so far
My daughter is very happy with the after school program. She does not come home bored or over exhausted. After day one pickup, the staff knew my face and knew which child belonged to me. That tells me they take pride in their job and take the safety of my child seriously. I recommend the program to all other moms who ask.
