The instructional side of the Y basketball—where coaches and referees teach during games. The values are important—sportsmanship and trying again. Great program!
I like yin yoga, the hot tub and sauna. Also there is a pool always available. There are treadmills outside and in the weight machine rooms.
Love the group classes
Aqua aerobics. If there is a possibility of more morning classes in the indoor pool, that would be great. Including a Monday 6:15am class.
Staff are terrific. Very personable and friendly and of course skilled!
Well organized
Good instructors
Good facilities..I participate in Aqua exercise & swim
Pool is clean and well attendee but life guards
Good community outreach and service
Good, friendly staff….appreciate those who work early as well as those who work late & weekends/holidays.
Family friendly
The instructors are very nice. The one thing I don’t like is that they cancel session with a very short notice which does not allow to find another session for the month
Lots of them, and plenty of times.
Freindly and safe
There are lots of program options, friendly staff, solid coaching, and it’s somewhat affordable.
Coach Andy is great in motivating the kids!
Swimming classes are great and lots of time slots to choose from. The instructors are awesome and the whole staff from off to lifeguards
Central Y offers varieties of activities. Children and families friendly. Love both indoor and outdoor pools with flexible hours. Staff are friendly.
Coaches are very friendly with the kids, they focus in teaching kid’s swimming along with having fun. My kids love getting to y for swim lessons. Good job guys!

I do not engage in group activities at the Y but rather use the machine and free weight rooms. Both are well-equipped, and the rooms are usually neat and clean.
Over the years I have also used Susan as my personal trainer which has been wonderful.
I love your pools!!!
thanks
All Y staff members are friendly and helpful, particularly at the front desk! Their smiles and greetings are apparently contagious, because this Y just feels over all like a nice place to visit.
Other stuff:
The permanent (?) post-pandemic outdoor workout areas are a great way to take advantage of our generally mild California weather, and are a real incentive to keep up an exercise routine.
The basketball court is nicely maintained, but... If $$ allow, some possible improvements:
- Fix the dead spot in the floor under the basket closest to the front desk
- Keep a stock of full-sized basketballs in the gym. (29.5).
- Replace the fan-shaped backboards with rectangular ones. (I know this is expensive, but it would actually make the side baskets useable.)
Anyway, thanks for everything, and keep up the good work!
It’s Family oriented Athletic club , where everybody know somebody l have been a member for over thirty years always latest equipment friendly staff , and very good swimming and group e Exercise programs , personally l come at least three times a week and l am more eager to see my friends than exercise .

The youth basketball program run by Andy Garcia is a great starting point for any little hooper.
love the YMCA.

Sports programs at the Central YMCA are run with compassion and care while being welcoming to more experienced young athletes as well as beginners. Andy Garcia organizes a fun youth basketball program.
