My first time experience was SO wonderful from making the appointment to checking out at the end. It was my first cupping experience and I had no idea what to expect, however Tony was AMAZING at what he did. Along with the massage, I felt so relaxed and at peace... I can not WAIT to visit Kume again (once I get a membership)!

Cleanliness and comfort
I jumped for joy when I heard Kume was finally able to open. I felt totally safe with the precautions that are taken and the stress of the past 7 months was eased with a wonderful massage.

My one suggestion during COVID times is to make sure there are air purifiers in each station in the main room, and each massage room. Maybe you've done that (there was one near my reflexology chair near the entrance) but I didn't see others.
Kume continues to be a wonderful option for massage and relaxation. The staff - both massage therapists and spa staff, provide such a positive experience with exceptional customer service.
The staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere of the spa really puts you at ease. I absolutely love the infrared sauna + Korean scrub followed by an hour long massage. It is the best way to spend your Sunday afternoon in Downtown Oakland. I took my mom and sister here when they visited me from San Diego and they enjoyed it so much. They said it was one of the most gentle and respectful massages they have ever received and we all go to various massage locations in San Diego a lot.
I really enjoyed how I felt after, I’ve never experienced a full body scrub before it left my body feeling fresh and soft.
