This was my first time at Kume and the experience exceeded my expectations. First of all, I live in another city that is 71 miles away, so I am a long drive away. I bought a treatment before the pandemic based on a recommendation from my daughter. Recently, daughter happened to be in the Lake Merritt area and decided to walk in and check about our pre-pandemic credit. I was impressed by the good records and accounting, since you were able to locate our information. She then scheduled our appointments with Tony, her favorite masseuse, for both of us, one right after the other. Hers was first and I was second, since I had to drive 71 miles to get there. This was supposed to be the start of our Mother's Day weekend. When I arrived and checked in, I was told I was not on the schedule!!! And someone else was booked for what was I expected to be my slot. I was disappointed, of course. When my daughter came out, she could not understand how that could have happened since she was there in person when she scheduled the two appointments back to back and because this was her plan for our Mother's Day weekend. Well, Gaby at the front desk saved the day. After considerable checking to see if she could fit me into the schedule with Tony somehow (we had dinner plans), she called a client and very nicely asked that person if she could come in a couple hours later instead of her originally scheduled time and that person said okay. My hot stone massage with Tony was amazing and I was very impressed with Gaby's customer service. So all in all, it turned out to be an overall great experience for which I am grateful!!! Thank Gaby and thank you Kume for hiring such caring and good problem solving people! Impressive!

Tina was wonderful. She did my massage. I was skeptical about getting a massage during the pandemic but my body needed it. We both wore masks. And she wore gloves. I was very satisfied and felt much better the day after.
