Great variety of class offerings, equipment and activities in Salem. I feel welcomed there by staff and by the exercise instructors. I also feel it has an open atmosphere with activities geared at all ages. The Salem Y is also local and I love staying in my community and meeting new people that also live in Salem.

My name is Name removed and I am the president of Marblehead rowing club a.k.a.RocknRow. This past Sunday we held a capsize clinic in your pool with our 2025 new member class and I want to thank you for allowing us to put two Rowing shells in your pool and train members how to get back in their boats after they’ve capsized.
In past years, we’ve always held this event at the Marblehead YMCA, but for some reason they were not able or willing to accommodate us this year. So again I thank you so much, everyone was extremely accommodating.
Facilities are high quality and the instructors are uniquely talented.
