Love the Y. I continue to be impressed with the immaculate care of the environment. So many things to do for all interests and at all levels.

There are great classes with great teachers. People are friendly. There is a good pool. Can visit a good group of Ys!
Love Salem YMCA. ONly complaint is members have to pay for parking. Y needs to negotiate with the city to let members use parking passes.
Friendly environment; helpful staff; great instructors (Beth!); social interaction.
Very good experience, everybody's so nice and helpfull.

The teacher was great and my daughter had a great time
Love the program and everyone involved!
It’s super inclusive and accommodating. And it’s a great community to be a part of.
The leaders are kind, communicative and fun!
The YMCA Salem Theater program has been a gift to our family. My son has dyslexia and several other learning disabilities that make school and other settings challenging for him. He has been embraced and celebrated in the theater program. It has been a safe and nurturing setting for him to find his strengths and experience success. My daughter, who is newer to the program also found herself welcomed and encouraged by the staff. Both of my kids have found their community. Justin Hatch and his team have created the ultimate safe space that celebrates each child’s unique gifts and embraces diversity in all its forms. We are deeply appreciative of the staff and the program.
I lover aqua aerobics! Exercising in the pool with like minded folks is great fun.
People were very nice and very helpful. Had a great time.
I enjoy the different programs included and the fact that we are not limited to one center. It’s also great for kids to be social.
The people we have interacted with have been really helpful. The water aerobics classes are really great
It's a great place
It was my first visit as I was in the neighborhood and was greeted with open arms by two staff members, whom I sadly forget their names. My age is kicking in. I was given a tour of the facility and was very pleased. Thank you to the staff members that were so friendly and inviting.
The Salem Y is well maintained. Staffs are very friendly.
The Salem Y is a great community resource and does a lot of good for families in need. I feel good to be a member of this Y. I have enjoyed playing pickleball here once or twice a week all winter. The building is old and the space is an odd mix of nooks and crannies, and so the creativity of the staff has been critical to the efficient use of the space overall. One of the best things about this Y is that it is smack in the middle of downtown Salem, which means many people, including myself, can go there without using a car.
Very good facilities
I always recommend water aerobics classes. Yoga as well
The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. I love Beth Schultz's classes and have recommended them. The facility is always clean and there are many machines and classes to choose from.
1. It is convenient to where I live -downtown Salem
2. It has excellent facilities - swimming pool, gym, etc.
3. The staff are very friendly and helpful
Its a great value for the price.
Convenience of locations, friendliness of staff, and class schedules.
The staff keep it very clean, it’s not overcrowded at times I want to be there, good selection of classes, and very friendly and helpful staff- especially the young women who staff the front desk.
