I live downtown. The downtown branch is convenient. The place is clean; the folks are friendly.
I love the YMCA. The facilities and staff are great. Most gyms offer only weights and cardio machines. It is easier to switch up workouts at the Y by swimming or taking a class. One of my favorite things about Louisville area YMCA is the numerous campuses available. I volunteer downtown one day a week, so after my shift, I go to the downtown Y. I live closest to Southeast Y, so that's my main campus. My daughter lives near the Norton Commons Y, so I can go with her and the kids to that one.

The fitness classes and sense of community
The staff are friendly and helpful. Personal trainer and masseuse are excellent. Very clean facility. Parking is convenient.

Pool. It is warmer than others. The air in pool area is nice too.

The accommodations for homeless. My income is very low, & I have 3 jobs. It's comforting to have access to showers, & the option toward fitness, & arthritic care.
