So many options and space. Something for everyone. Welcoming to every person. Intro classes and coaching and even a women’s only area. Whatever you need to feel comfortable in starting your fitness journey, the Y Downtown can provide. It feels like they genuinely want you there and to aid you in being your best self.
The sauna, showers and the women’s locker room are my sanctuary and safe space at the downtown y. I love the vintage charm here too. The staff here are very cool and helpful.
It is convenient for me due to its location in the Nortons downtown campus. With me working there it easy for me to workout.

The reception employees are friendly and very helpful. The chair yoga class is very nice and wish there were more than offered.

I really like the small family atmosphere and that has up to date machines and equipment. They also treat you like family and motivate you to do your best.

Staff is always friendly. Building is always clean. Machines are always in working order.
The aquatics department is amazing. Very calm relaxing environment. Friendly staff. Met new people.

Community atmosphere and staff
it is a great facility. what makes it the most desirable plac for me is the coaching team. each and every one is awesome. they are not just good in what they do and teach , they are so passionate, respectable, well mannered and friendly . they like to know each person by their first name and watch their progress. i rally appreciate that.
For Downtown YMCA - ease of booking a swimming lane, cleanliness, friendliness of staff
The staff is very welcoming. The gym is always well kept. Friendly environment.
Exercise options and facilitiy cleanliness are the primary reasons for my recommendation.
