It’s a friendly and great place to workout.
The classes are excellent and the instructors are approachable if modifications or workout tips are needed.
I like that the Fort Monroe location is quiet and not extremely busy to where you have to always wait on every machine . I am able to get my workout program completed in decent time. It’s honestly a hidden gem! I like that it has an upper and lower area to work out. The separation of areas allows me to also use the stairs as part of my workout. The staff is always friendly and willing to help with the equipment and answering questions.

The equipment I use is readily available and it is not too crowded. Sauna is great and the location is just right for me.

I found the staff to all be extremely courteous, professional and helpful. And the facility is very clean with an impressive array of equipment. I would like to give special recognition to staff member Madison Knight who processed my enrollment with tremendous enthusiasm and support. She provided the most gracious, welcoming and helpful experience in my memory! I look forward to incorporating frequent visits to the Luter Family YMCA of Smithfield into my life. I only wish that I had done so sooner. Thank you!
