The instructors in the silver sneakers are fantastic.
I really only use the exercise room. Once in a while I shoot basketball. I should probably take advantage of the water aerobics.
I like the classes
People of my age and abilities are there
They are energizing and engaging. Instructor is excellent.
There is something for all ages and it’s a good place to meet new friends
There is a variety of programs available for adults.
Timing and cleanliness. I like the online registration for programs. Very simple.
The helpful and friendly staff.
The yoga classes are great.
I use the pool and really wish it was open on Sunday
I’m retired and I enjoy exercising and it’s nice to have a nice facility with friendly employees near me
Everything about the Y is amazing
Employees are wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. A variety of activities are offered for everyone's age and ability which is very important. There is a sense of family and community among both employees and members.
I do have one issue. On Thursday/opening day I noticed there were three or four school aged boys running around the Ymca.
They were not causing any trouble, but I wondered why they were not in school. Do you know if on that day public schools were closed?
And if they should have been in school, but we’re at the YMCA… Should that not be addressed to them or their parents?
Can you respond back to me on this? Thank you Name removed
I tried aqua therapy for the first time and really enjoyed it. I have joint issues and it was a relief to be able to do exercises that normally cause stress on my body when not in the water.
I am still gainfully employed, my only wish was that there was a class after 2p, however I understand I can 7se the lap pool and use the outer lanes to walk and do some of the exercises that I learned in the class.
I go to the Y to swim laps in the pool twice a week sometimes three times a week depending on my schedule. I like swimming it’s very relaxing, peaceful, and good exercise.
What I DONT like!!! is the loud music that the lifeguard plays while he’s supposedly working!!!
The music was so loud at one point if I had to cry out Help! no one would’ve heard me over the music!!!
If the teenager has to have music playing to keep him from being bored while he is doing his job? Then he is in the wrong profession!!!
This has happened multiple times during the past two months!!!
I go to the Y for a peaceful swim not to listen to hip-hop!! And when I asked the girl to turn the music down, she just rolled her eyes and turned it down a little begrudgingly.
I pay good money for my membership at the Y. I should not have to put up with this behavior from the employees working as lifeguards!
I have tried to be understanding and not let this bother me….. but it has gotten to be very annoying. So much so that I don’t want to go to the YMCA. Please please could you please fix this problem as soon as possible.
Thank you
,I would love to take part in the water exercise program, but the water is too cold for somebody with arthritis
