As members of the YMCA for a few years now in multiple different states, we value the YMCA engagement and the impact it has had on our children. This school year of 2025 and 2026 we have joined another addition of the YMCA and started to participate in their afterachool program with Nelson Elementary School in Dover, FL. I am super pleased to announce that my expierience has been an absolute pleasure and the counselors overall have addressed every concern. Mrs.Joslin is extremely kind and patient and is a great counselor for the YMCA. When I had a behavior concern with my children at this after care it was handled swiftly and abruptly even though I sent the email at 5:00 pm on a Friday, I had a solution within half an hour and my sons have both informed me that the concerning behavior has stopped from other students and they love going. I was impressed with how the YMCA handled the situation and how quickly they attempted to reach out to connect with me after I sent an email on a Friday afternoon. Special shout out to Danelle and Hillary who very quickly helped me with my resolution in this matter.
I am beyond impressed with how frequently I have been able to connect my kids with the parents night out and kids night out programs at both the Campo YMCA and the Camp Christina YMCA. Every single counselor we have has been nothing but energetic and kind to my sons with a positive attitude.
We love the YMCA and will continue to engage in services for the family friendly atmosphere they have and how quickly they are able to come up with solutions and support for my family.

Learning oriented. All players are given a chance. My son always ends a session better than he started.
My daughter has been going to the YMCA after school for two years . Ms. Jocelyn is such an outstanding counselor. She’s more like family. She’s caring and so are the other counselors they do their best to make sure my child stays safe and has a great time till I pick her up. I would recommend this program to any parent. Mostly the fact that my child stays on campus no need for vehicle transportation. We are so grateful for Ms. Jocelyn. 😀

It’s convenient in addition to Ms Jocelyn and the young team know how to relate to the kids. They patient equal and fair. I hated the HOST program and am so glad for the YMCA!

My daughter loves attending the Y afterschool program. She loves all of the different activities that are offered. She also feels safe with Michelle as Michelle has had her back when other kids have been mean to her.

Lots of programs for adults and children
All employees are great.
It’s clean and friendly. Although the pool area is somewhat hard to manage. We can’t do things like have a contest to see who can hold their breath the longest or play in areas when a parent is right next to the kids.
I love this YMCA. I love it for our community. I love that there is no attitude... no obnoxious snobs.

Very good quality care for the children.
My daughter has enjoyed starting to play on a team with a mix of people, not just from her class at school. It is not a 10 because the teams have not been fair - some teams have been significantly more talented and better coached than others which can be very disheartening for some teams. I know the coaches are volunteers so we should just be happy to have coaches!
