While I believe all of the teachers are excellent, I wanted to explain why I did not provide a perfect rating.
I have noticed that when certain children require significant extra attention due to crying or other impairments, it can occasionally detract from the instructional time for the rest of the class. In these instances, I would suggest that those children be briefly pulled aside by another teacher or returned to their parents so that the disruption to the class is minimized.

Our son was 12 months old when he started taking classes and the first 4 classes were excruciating because our little one didn’t want to be in the water or under the water. He wanted no parts of swim class, even though he loved bath time and time at the pool during family vacations. The instructors and front desk staff were so nice helping us get over the scary hump and sure enough by the 5th class, there were no more tears and more smiles!! Each class got easier and easier for our little guy and for us! We trusted the process like they said and 5 months later he has improved so much! The instructors are great, and the front desk staff are great and personable! Overall our experience with Aquatots - VA Beach has been amazing! We recommend the location every chance we get!

I’ve had a wonderful experience with this swim school. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and truly invested in helping the children's progress. The environment feels safe, welcoming, and well‑organized. I’ve seen great improvement, and my child looks forward to every lesson.
School is very effective in teaching children a necessary life skill. The instructors create a safe environment for the kids as well as positive bonding relationships.

Great facility, management and employees
We like having the ability to easily change time and date of lessons as needed, as busy working parents, this flexibility is important in order to keep our child consistently attending.
My son absolutely loves it! The environment is wonderful, and the staff are amazing. We especially adore our son’s swim coach, Belly—she’s fantastic with him and makes the experience even more enjoyable.
Good choice for infants. However, I would like to see more class times for tadpoles.

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support our son has received at Aqua-Tots in Norwood, MA, especially from his wonderful swim instructor, Scott.
Our son is 10 years old and has special needs. We have been trying to teach him how to swim for the past 7 years, but unfortunately we were never very successful. Since joining Aqua-Tots, we have finally started to see real progress, and Scott has made a truly meaningful difference.
Scott has shown patience, understanding, and encouragement every step of the way. Thanks to his guidance, our son is beginning to understand the basic concepts of swimming. He is now comfortable putting his head under the water, practicing kicks and scoops, and even back floating for a few seconds. These may seem like small milestones, but for us they are huge steps in the right direction.
Scott has a wonderful way of connecting with our son and helping him feel confident and safe in the water. We still have a long way to go, but for the first time we feel hopeful and optimistic about his swimming journey.
We have no doubt that with Scott’s continued support, our son will learn to swim. We are deeply thankful to Scott and the entire Aqua-Tots team in Norwood for their dedication and care. They are truly making a difference in our child’s life.
I feel like we are getting great individualized attention for my daughter to be able to improve her swimming skills. I feel like her wins are celebrated and any constructive feedback is addressed to make sure that I am doing my part correctly.
We love looking forward to class every week, my toddler who is 2.5 years old was hesitant at first but after attending 4 classes she's able to be submerged underwater without any fuss, she loves it! Our instructor is amazing, she gives praise and feedback, she makes 40 minutes of class time feel like more with all of the swim lesson/activities we do. I can't wait to see the progress my child makes here on out!

All the staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, professional and kind. The lessons are effective. The entire facility is very clean and the amenities are amazing.
The instructor’s are great! They not only help my daughter learn how to swim but I’ve definitely learned things that I can use outside of her class. Which is a relief knowing that summer is coming up and she will be around a body of water often. Highly recommend Aqua Tots!
