Quality Teachers
The reward system for the children is great. I think your system of reviewing progress is confusing. There are apt to be several years or grades for the subjects covered, however, when what has been covered is blended with what is planned it can be difficult to see the overall picture of where your child is and where they are going.
Our daughter is catching up to where shoe should be in school!
My child lesson was often done 5-7 minutes before the time that we paid for ended. There was nothing personilized in terms of lessons plans - this was the major reason I had discontinued Sylvan. Not to mention hideous costs for what wqas offered.
The personal contact with teachers and administrators. Everyone always took the
time to update me on Anthony's progress. Made me feel like we were all on the same
team.
It made a huge impact on the confidence and academic achievements my son now displays.
After several months of attending Sylvan, I didn't see any improvement in my son's grade. I'm very disappointed and don't know what else to do to help him improve.
My daughter is very sensitive to feeling dumb when she asks basic questions. At school this was an issue for her, the instructors at Sylvan never made her feel dumb even when she asked questions repeatidly or could not grasp a concept. This was very helpful for her and her test scores have improved drastically since starting Sylvan.
IT IS EASY AND SINCE WE JUST NEEDED A LITTLE PUSH, YOU WERE WILLING TO WORK THIS OUT WITHOUT LONG TERM COMMITMENT AND HASSLE. AND IT WORKED TO GET MY DAUGHTER BACK ON TRACK.
Sylvan builds confidence in the child. They look at the needs of the each child and begin working at that level. They meet with the parents often to let them know the progress of their child.
The individualized approach to teach each child at their own speed.
Last summer I enrolled my son for the advertised study skills/ summer prep program and the work and multiple teachers assigned were a big disappointment. I basically paid for several hours of independent study. I will never seek your services again.
The ability to customize your services to meet the needs of the child and their family. I think that the flexibility of the teachers as well as the center itself helps to ensure that every child receives the level of instruction and help that they need to be successful.
