My Son likes going to his Sylvan classes. any time learning is fun for kids it is a win in my book.
Very good overall catering to each child particular needs
I recognize that you serve all ages of children. My youngest grandchild is six and she hates coming to tutoring. "It's too long, not fun and we don't get a snack." Two hours is a long time. In first grade I'm sure they rarely sit for longer than 15 minutes at a task. When I mentioned this to the Director, she was clearly insulted. Children learn in different ways. It's not reasonable to expect each one to excel at the same rate. I think your system is too structured.

The teachers really care about the students and the staff is very responsive. My son attended classes at Sylvan a few years ago and now that he is in AP classes he recognized that he would need help in getting and staying organized, so he asked to return to Sylvan. Lauren has done a great job of motivating him and helping him learn to stay on track. And, he enjoys Sylvan so much he asked to attend 4 days a week and willingly rides his bike 2 miles to get there when I can't provide a ride. For me, that's a WIN!
Summer camps that get kids to learn in a fun and creative way that they love. Video related robots!
Small group sizes. Teachers that care and actually want success.
Very engaging! My son had a great time!
Easy to sign up, funding available, convenient class times, smaller group sizes allow more one-on-one attention to student, ok to bring homework from school for additional help. Sylvan keeps me informed of students progress and the things we are doing well on and things that might need attention.
We needed help during Spring break & they helped the day I called.
The support provided for my child to be successful in reading and writing.
Its excellent services
The staff is rude and if you are running late, a child will call you to scold you! You don't get a full hour of tutoring that you already paid for.

I'm sorry to hear that you are frustrated. Yes, we do give families a call if they are running late; it is intended as a courtesy - sometimes family schedules get crazy and Sylvan gets forgotten. The call is not intended to be punitive at all, so it sounds like we need to do some training in that area. I hope that in your conference with Jeff last week you were able to get some answers, explanations and adjustments to meet your needs. Please give me a call if you have any more concerns and I would be happy to talk with you.

Everybody is very nice and want to work with me.

Your streamlined and pinpoint teaching of each of my children's strenghs and/or weaknesses.
The gains were not as high as we had hoped for. But it is unclear if that is due to tools provided, or user effort.
