confused about proceedure - not getting duct cleaned

carpet cleaning was fine except took too long to dry

opted for dryer vent cleaning - lint was blown out breaking the vent cover and balls of lint were all over my dryway - when I opend garage door it blew in there too - waiting to hear from the co for replacing the vent cover.
