I'm new to soft water here; the city where I moved from over 40 years ago never had a water softener. I noticed this new home in Calgary had one in the basement ( new to me), Culligan
is the brand, I called for an in-home service appointment. Appointment kept on time, technician looked at the system and informed me it was good to go, no muss, no fuss, approximated age of the system was 19 years old, after instructions for maintenance, the service was professional, the administration was reasonable and paperless. I'm enjoying the water on my skin. Do dishes come cleaner? no hard water spots, less soap to water mix, just a couple of notes to all who want to consider owning a whole - home water softener, one is to filter your drinking water through a reverse osmosis system or at least filter a carbon block type filter, or I have found a pour-through RO, Zero drinking water system. Outside tap spout water is always bypassed.
