Hello,
I received a quote that was 8 times higher than other quotes for a driveway replacing. I received other quotes for around $8000, Allied quoted me $49,000! I received a follow up email which I replied to and was sent an “undeliverable” message. I didn’t type in the email but clicked on “reply” so I don’t know why is was undeliverable.

The estimate provided by your rep was way off ($1900). It is at most a $250 job (plus $15 for grout). Not sure what he was estimating, but obviously I am not moving forward with Allied.
A representative came out and gave me a quote for my project. A basement bathroom. I gave him a deposit. Two weeks later I am contacted by him and his supervisor. They said he misquoted my project by 6 thousand dollars and they wanted to refund my deposit and release the contract. This was beyond incompetent and caused me and my family great inconvenience, as we are unable to afford the correct quote. To be so far off as a professional is inexcusable.

I can't begin to express my disappointment in your company. You did a great job of reaching out quickly, I set the appointment and got an hour and a half window when your person would arrive to give the estimate. You followed up with a rather strongly worded email telling me that ALL decision makers MUST be present so - because we really need the estimate and want this work to get started, my wife and I were both home. The appointment was from 11:30 - 1:00. I called your office at 1:05 and was told he was "running late" and was 10 minutes away. Your agent arrived at 1:40 thanking me for my patience. The 5 minutes he was here was horrible. I tried to quickly give him the overview, explained how I knew I needed the work and was looking for an estimate. He asked if I had an engineer report. I have an inspection report that clearly documents in words and pictures the work needed and which has been used by other firms to give me an estimate. After my brief explanation, I was told he would not give me an estimate without an engineers report which he would be glad to sell me. You inconvenienced both my wife and I by not making it here in your own window of time and then having the nerve to not even give an estimate because you required an engineers report. While you do a great job making the appointments - your execution leaves much to be desired. With all that communication, you could have actually said you weren't really interested in quoting without a report that only your company requires. We will not be doing business with you based on this wholly unsatisfying experience.

To expensive and appearing to be interested in only the larger projects, suggesting a local handiman would be a better idea and cheaper for the little items.

When the estimator walked in and said "I see the new roof, new floors and updated kitchen. What was that like $50,000?" It was obvious that he was already assuming what we could spend. We don't do business with companies that pad the contracts based on what they see their customers.

Yes! I find it impossible for Darrell, who came out to my home on the 22nd of September, to provide an estimate. I have texted him, called him and each time he has said he will get it to me. As of Sunday the 3rd of October..nothing. My request was for bookshelves and Ken Espey to perform the work. He did a previous job for me. An excellent one.
So Beltway builders desperately needs to learn how to communicate and follow through. Who should have followed up on my appointment with Darrell?? You must be losing business if this is your business practice. Go out for estimate and then NEVER provide one. Very disappointed. I’ll miss Ken’s workmanship but no one is irreplaceable!! Your loss!!
