The child care workers are all very pleasant and kind to both children and parents, and the front staff is always warm and inviting. I was a member at Lifetime Allen for 10 years, where the childcare staff often seemed disengaged and unhappy to be there. It’s truly a blessing to now have such caring and friendly people looking after our children and creating such a positive experience.

Great monthly rate for all of the equipment I regularly use. The staff does a great job keeping everything organized and put up (including for the slackers who won’t tack their own weights).
But, the atmosphere has become pretty dull since they stopped playing music. And, there is no reason to have a lot of ceiling fans on high when it’s already nice and cool in there. It’s obvious that people avoid equipment right below the fans on full blast.

The facility is lovely and well-kept. The teachers for classes are excellent.

I come mostly for the Pilates/Barre/Conditioning classes after work. I would like to have more classes after 6:00 on Tuesday and Friday.

My biggest complaint that I have experienced numerous times is the weight machines area, where some members will habitually sit on a machine for 5 or 10 minutes at a time, looking at their phone between sets, rather than getting off the machine and letting others play through. Worse is when they have a buddy and share a machine between them, which can take even longer.

I have never been to a gym that did not have a rule against hogging machines between sets, yet your staff are unaware of any rule when I've asked several of them, and no one is monitoring the workout area to look out for this, though I see multiple people at the front desk who could be helping in this way.

Since there is only ONE machine of most types, this makes it impossible for me to get my full workout in within my limited time. I also find it very unpleasant to have to confront people about it, and most folks don't cooperate even if I do ask them to let me use the machine between sets! So seeing that some member have no sense of courtesy, I request that your staff enforce the guidelines for the rest of us. Perhaps a prominent sign would help.

I asked about this issue at the Aquatic Center, and they told me that they DO enforce this rule, and they have someone sitting in the workout area for that reason, and they offer orientation for new members to learn the rule. But Terrell offers the classes I want and is my preference other than this issue. Please address this for the sake of your members.

Gym has a wonderful walking track (with an adventure=incline & decline section), an outside area & all the fitness equipment most anyone could want to use. Staff=efficient, helpful & nice as can be.

My only suggestion would be to open earlier on Sundays. 10am is too late and the center is usually very busy when it opens on Sunday. I have talked to many people and they have felt that an earlier opening time (7am or even 8am) would be great. For consistency, it would be nice if Saturday and Sunday had the same timings.

several exercise classes per week, great instructors, friendly desk staff, sufficient toilet bowls and sinks, large lockers, excellent parking, many senior citizen friendly classes, enough mats in exercise rooms, clean & sufficient towels for exercise and to wipe away sweat.

The equipment, staff, and classes are high quality and create a great exercise experience. I do wish that there was more open space to use dumbbells and kettlebells on the fitness deck. It tough to find a space for a mat when the facility is busy.

Very clean, spacious well staffed, well run and a lot to do for children all the way to older adults. A great facility that elevates the city of Allen.

Plenty of room, not over crowded. Clean!! Friendly staff! I feel lucky to have a city fitness facility of this quality! As a senior it is a fantastic value!

My wife and I use the cardio and weightlifting areas. Everything have to wait for a specific machine because it’s not overly crowded.

I have heard some complain about the expense for Allen residents but, $85 a month is nothing compared to any other quality gym around.

Our only request is that a public recreation pool be developed for this area! Thank you!

So many options. Love the fitness equipment. Track and courts are really useful. Nice kids play area, including the game tables and video games.

Only suggestion...I know there was a need to keep swapping the soccer turf and pickle ball court. I would prefer to keep the soccer turf since there are other options for pickle ball.

Fantastic facility

Everything about the facility is excellent—except for the Wi-Fi. Cellular service in the area is extremely weak, leaving members almost completely disconnected, especially in the upstairs walking trail and weight area. The city has invested tens of millions in building this facility and continues to spend significantly on maintenance, yet reliable Wi-Fi access—a basic and essential amenity given the poor cell coverage from all major carriers—is still lacking.
