I love that there’s no pressure on the kids. It’s more focused on them having fun and learning.

The focus on teaching young athletes the importance of sportsmanship and how to demonstrate it. While children are young they should learn the fundamentals and skills for each sport. I like that we have trained coaches for volleyball. The coaches are also teaching the girls how to incorporate sportsmanship into Team play and teach the girls how to be teammates and encouraging a positive playing environment.

Kids are learning and playing and developing their skills. I think it makes them progress skill.

One thing I would really like to see i9 provide is team tents on the sidelines for both teams. These are little kids playing outside in very high temperatures, and at Carroll Middle School there is no shade on the field. Having a tent for each team would give the kids a shaded place to cool down, hydrate, and get out of the direct sun while they’re on the sidelines. It seems like a simple addition that could make a big difference for their comfort and safety.

I like the structure and training for coaches. It makes it easy to volunteer as a parent.
