I love that the coaches promote participation and fun! Our coach is excellent at recognizing when kids need a break and always listening when they tell him something hurts, they're tired, etc. I've noticed that the coaches seem to work fairly well together to scaffold what they try to teach the group so that practice and games are smoother each week.
There is one parent on the opposite team who has been extremely unkind to his own child. For example he yelled something like "Stop crying! It's not scary, just get on the field like all the other kids and play!" Last week he joined his team on the field and loudly talked to his kid or the team the whole time. There were three coaches there already and he kept talking to the team as if he were the coach and even interrupted the coach while he was talking. I really wish the staff would address this as it really changes the atmosphere of practice/games.
